About Us: Galileo Growth Learning Development is a private practice providing individualized academic support to students with diverse learning needs. We specialize in reading intervention and personalized instruction rooted in evidence-based practices. Many of our clients are seeking intervention, have IEPs, or require specialized strategies to access learning successfully.Job Description: We are currently seeking passionate and experienced educators to provide 1:1 in-home instruction to elementary and middle school students. Sessions focus on reading intervention and other academic areas aligned with each student&rsquo;s learning goals.Special education teachers are strongly encouraged to apply&mdash;many of our students benefit from the expertise of educators trained in accommodations, differentiated instruction, and behavior support.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Deliver engaging and personalized 1:1 instruction, primarily in reading, writing, and foundational academic skills</li><li>Adapt and differentiate instruction to support students with various learning profiles and needs</li><li>Utilize materials and lesson plans provided, with flexibility to adjust as needed</li><li>Support students with IEP goals, learning differences, and executive functioning challenges</li><li>Communicate effectively with the founder and share session updates as needed</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Valid California teaching credential (Special Education or General Education)</li><li>Special Education credential preferred</li><li>Experience with small group or individualized reading instruction (preferred: Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, or similar approaches)</li><li>Familiarity with accommodations, modifications, and supporting students with IEPs</li><li>Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Reliable transportation to student homes in the South Orange County area</li></ul>Compensation: $45&ndash;$60 per hour based on your experience and credentials. All materials and structured lesson plans are provided.
