<div>Summary 
GAMA-1 Technologies is seeking a remote System Administrator I to install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. This is a 100% remote position working under US East Coast standard hours.

Essential functions/responsibilities

Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations
</li><li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary</li><li>
Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures and maintain control records</li><li>
Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments are needed and where changes will be needed in the future</li><li>
Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software</li><li>
Train users in computer system use</li><li>
Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records</li><li>
Respond and document cloud application issues escalated by Tier 1 resources or captured by cloud monitoring tools.
</li><li>Off-Hours Support: Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours or weekend support.</li><li>
Continuously monitor cloud activity, usage, performance, cost, and security using cloud monitoring tools and technology.
</li><li>Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve application performance issues, escalating as needed to resolve more complex issues.</li></ul>

Basic Qualifications
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or relevant work experience</li><li>
1 year of experience as a System Administrator, or prior experience as a Help Desk technician</li><li>
Understanding of networking protocols, LAN networking, and WAN networking</li><li>
Ability to evaluate networks and systems to make sure that they perform reliably and to anticipate new requirements as organizations&rsquo; needs change</li><li>
Able to explain technical concepts and processes to non-IT workers</li><li>
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems that arise with computer networks and systems</li><li>
Programming skills and the ability to work with a variety of computer hardware and software tools</li></ul> 

Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
A+, Network+, and/or similar certifications are highly preferred</li></ul> 

Work authorization/security clearance requirements<ul><li>
Ability to obtain a security clearance
</li></ul> 
Work environment<ul><li>
This is a 100% remote position working under US East Coast standard hours</li></ul>

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's and client facilities.
