 What is the role responsible for?
 As a Technical Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring a small development team to deliver high-quality projects aligned with our product strategy. This role exists to provide both technical leadership and hands-on engineering expertise across systems within the Group Products space, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable while meeting business and customer needs.
 What will you be doing day-to-day?
 
Here are a few examples of what you could be involved with: 
<ul>
<li>Leading, motivating, and organising a small team of engineers to deliver projects and product enhancements</li>
<li>Designing technical systems and software solutions, ensuring best practices across architecture and non-functional requirements (e.g. security, scalability, performance)</li>
<li>Writing code and implementing new features across modern technology stacks</li>
<li>Reviewing code and driving high standards for quality, testing, and maintainability</li>
<li>Championing automated testing and CI/CD best practices</li>
<li>Facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing delivery using Jira in line with Group processes</li>
<li>Supporting product discovery, scoping, and accurate estimation of time and cost</li>
<li>Identifying technical debt and driving continuous improvement and innovation within the team</li>
</ul>
What you’ll bring
 You don’t need experience in everything listed, but we’re especially keen to hear from people with some of the following skills:
 <ul>
<li>Proven experience in team leadership, coaching, and mentoring engineers</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues</li>
<li>Experience designing and building scalable systems and APIs</li>
<li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions</li>
<li>Experience with modern technologies such as Node.js / TypeScript and React or Angular</li>
<li>Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, version control, and Agile delivery practices</li>
<li>Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and containerisation (e.g. Kubernetes)</li>
<li>Experience with Java and telecoms industry knowledge (desirable)</li>
</ul>

Software Engineering Squad Lead

 What is the role responsible for?
 As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining Gamma’s Group Products suite, including proprietary OSS/BSS and UCaaS & CCaaS solutions. This role exists to lead technically complex development work across the platform, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and high performing, while supporting and mentoring engineers and driving best practice across the team.
 What will you be doing day-to-day?
 
Here are a few examples of what you could be involved with: 
<ul>
<li>Leading technically complex development across the platform, building new features and maintaining existing systems using TypeScript, Node.js, and React</li>
<li>Collaborating with product, architects, and engineering teams to scope, plan, and estimate solutions that are scalable and future-proof</li>
<li>Designing and developing secure, high-performance APIs and integrating third-party tools and services</li>
<li>Producing and reviewing detailed Solution Design documentation, ensuring consideration of security, performance, and system-wide impact</li>
<li>Driving high standards through code reviews, mentoring engineers, and contributing to CI/CD and testing best practices</li>
<li>Applying site reliability engineering principles to improve observability, resilience, and incident response</li>
<li>Monitoring, profiling, and optimising application performance, including capacity planning to meet SLAs</li>
<li>Identifying technical debt and recommending improvements to systems, processes, and tooling</li>
</ul>
What you’ll bring
 You don’t need experience in everything listed, but we’re especially keen to hear from people with some of the following skills:

<li>Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular</li>
<li>Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and API design principles</li>
<li>Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, Playwright), and version control</li>
<li>Proven experience running large-scale production systems in AWS and working with Kubernetes/containerisation</li>
<li>Strong debugging, performance optimisation, and problem-solving skills across distributed systems</li>
<li>Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership within teams</li>
<li>Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and site reliability engineering practices</li>
<li>Experience with Java and/or telecoms technologies (e.g. VoIP, WebRTC) is highly beneficial</li>
</ul>
