Key ResponsibilitiesAn estimation engineer's main duties include<ul><li>Cost Analysis: Breaking down project costs into detailed components, such as labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses. They must also account for indirect costs, like overhead, permits, and contingencies.</li><li>Bid Preparation: Creating and submitting accurate and competitive bids or proposals for potential projects.</li><li>Risk Management: Identifying and evaluating potential risks that could affect project costs and timelines. They develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.</li><li>Data Analysis: Using historical data from previous projects, market trends, and supplier quotes to inform their estimates. This involves leveraging specialized software and databases.</li><li>Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements and constraints are understood and incorporated into the estimate.</li><li>Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of all estimates, including the assumptions made, data used, and the final calculations.</li></ul>QualificationsTo be a successful estimation engineer, a candidate should have:<ul><li>Experience: A minimum of 1-5 years of experience in an estimation or a related engineering role in an electrical contracting firm</li><li>Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, or electrical, depending on the industry) or a related field.</li><li>Skills: Strong analytical and mathematical skills, proficiency in estimation software preferred (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel), excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of project management principles.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentAbility to commute/relocate:<ul><li>Kadavanthara, Kochi, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Diploma (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
