 Position Purpose &amp; Summary
 
 
 
 The Catering Sales Manager primary role is to generate new catering business (such as weddings and wedding related events, and social catering functions), and convert inbound leads/inquiries to confirmed bookings and exceed revenue goals assigned, as well as conduct planning, detailing, and servicing responsibilities for booked events.
 
 
 
 Essential Functions
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Understands all details pertaining to the events needs. This includes identifying potential business, solicitation, and upselling menus, room types and ancillary revenues whenever possible.
 </li>
 <li>
 Replies to inquiries/leads for catered events and any other markets as assigned.
 </li>
 <li>
 Track all lead and call production in Delphi FDC and ensure weekly/monthly activity goals are met.
 </li>
 <li>
 Close business on the best opportunities for the GGRC based on market conditions and executes approved contracts with clients within the contract signing due dates.
 </li>
 <li>
 Finalizes all details of catering and event functions within market or assigned by Director of Sales &amp; Marketing (DOSM)
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and understand catering sales revenue and operation budgets and provide forecasting reports to DOSM
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains client timeline for contracts, BEOs, payment schedule, attendance counts, etc. ensuring Accounting has taken deposits/all payments in advance of all events.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepares and checks all BEOs, catering function sheets or other relevant forms as they arise. Ensure that appropriate departments receive any changes in a timely manner.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inspect function room prior to start of function for correct set up. Attends function periodically as a supervisory check.
 </li>
 <li>
 Greets all directly booked clients as they arrive at the property, and/or as needed. Serve as guest contact during the event when needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct daily client tours and detailing events as needed. This includes weekends when accommodating the client's schedule.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure the Group billing is correct as developed by Accounting and approved before sent to client by Accounting Dept.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in weekly sales meetings, BEO meetings, F&amp;B, Operations, and other meetings to communicate the upcoming event needs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Establishes relationships with area event vendors, competitive and non-competitive hotels and event venues and the respective managers at these locations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Designing room layouts with diagram software provided by company.
 </li>
 <li>
 Interacts effectively with sales, kitchen, vendors, competitors, catering associations to ensure guest satisfaction.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend tradeshows and networking events as approved to grow the assigned market.

 Maintains post-event files and submits all ensures invoices, receipts and closing inventories copies are maintained and records actual final guest count and revenues in Delphi.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains complete and in-depth files on all future and past events and private parties as directed by departmental standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend training as assigned.
 </li>
 <li>
 Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourages others to do the same.
 </li>
 <li>
 Timely participates in morning stand up, weekly operations meetings and staff meetings.
 </li>

 Position Requirements

 Minimum Knowledge &amp; Skills:
 </li>
 <li>
 Preferred knowledge of Delphi Classic, Delphi FDC, Opera Sales &amp; Catering or similar sales &amp; catering software
 </li>
 <li>
 Preferred knowledge of Jonas, Micro's software or other similar business enterprise or POS related programs
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
 </li>
 <li>
 Room diagram software's such as Meetings Matrix, Allseated, or Social Tables
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays- all days of the week as determined by contracted events and resort activities
 </li>
 <li>
 Formal Education and Job-Related Experience:
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 3 Years in a hospitality sales role.
 </li>
 <li>
 License, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid Driver's License Required
 </li>
 <li>
 ServeSafe, or TIPS Certification; (or equivalent) preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 First-Aid / CPR / AED Certification preferred
