Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Associates to join our team. The Housekeeping Associate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the retail and warehouse areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our customers and employees.
Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Clean and maintain retail and warehouse areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and customer seating areas, to uphold cleanliness standards and enhance the overall shopping experience.</li><li>
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors regularly to remove dirt, debris, and spills, paying special attention to high-traffic areas and entryways.</li><li>
Dust and wipe down surfaces, shelves, fixtures, and displays to remove dust, fingerprints, and smudges, maintaining a tidy and presentable appearance.</li><li>
Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and countertops, replenishing supplies as needed to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.</li><li>
Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins throughout the facility, disposing of waste properly and replacing liners as needed.</li><li>
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom amenities, notifying management of any shortages or maintenance issues.</li><li>
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.</li><li>
Other duties/projects as assigned.</li></ul>
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a retail store environment.
Requirements:

Physical Demands:<ul><li>
Ability to stand during the entire shift.</li><li>
Must be able to lift and/or move, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.</li></ul>
Qualifications needed to perform this position:<ul><li>
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)</li><li>
Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services, preferably in a retail or warehouse environment, is preferred but not required.</li><li>
Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines related to cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus.</li><li>
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.</li><li>
Thorough understanding of safety hazards, personal protection equipment (PPE), and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.</li></ul>
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with hours based on the needs of the business.</div>
