 The Patient Access Representative is an employee who is responsible to collect correct up front information to assure proper care for the patient as well as the billing and collection of payment. The Patient Representative is to be versatile and able to register in all ancillary areas of the Patient Access Department. Also able to coordinate with all areas associated with all departments of the facility.

Oversees work done by outside vendors. Responsibilities:

In collaboration with physicians, residents and other healthcare professionals the pharmacist is directly and indirectly involved in the care of patients with regards to the prescribing, preparation, dispensing, and administration and monitoring of medications. As regulatory standards change over time the pharmacist will meet the needs of these new requirements as they become the standard of the profession. Staff pharmacists provide guidance and oversight to direct support personnel, including technicians. In the absence of a pharmacy manager or lead pharmacist, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume essential responsibilities and perform duties of a pharmacy manager, until a manager is on site or able to assert authority by other means. The staff pharmacist must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision. The staff pharmacist must be able to work cooperatively with other department staff, management, medical staff and other health-system employees. They must be able to adapt to differing work conditions, changing workload and be able to handle numerous and continuous interruptions. The staff pharmacist must display critical thinking in their decision-making processes, be able to adapt to changing priorities and handle emergency situations by displaying excellent judgment and expedited performance.
