Gastroenterology Associates of Gainesville P.C. is seeking a friendly, organized, team oriented and experienced procedure scheduling representative. In this position an applicant can expect to be responsible for scheduling all endoscopic procedures as requested by the Gastroenterology Associates of Gainesville, P.C. healthcare team.Hours: Monday-Thursday: 07:30am-04:30pm Friday: 07:30am-12:00pm 36 hrs/weekAdditional hours may be required based on the needs of the businessEducation: High School Diploma or GED Previous Experience: A minimum of three years experience in a medical office setting.Job Requirements:<ul><li>Excellent communication and problem solving skills</li><li>Quick learner and willing to train on new skills</li><li>Friendly and professional attitude</li><li>Highly organized and detail oriented</li><li>Fast-paced work ethic</li><li>Computer literate</li><li>Excellent telephone etiquette</li><li>Able to prioritize and multi-task</li><li>Strong customer service skills</li><li>Medical Terminology</li></ul>Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Schedule endoscopic procedures per established office protocols, including utilization of Allscripts PM and EHR</li><li>Verify patient demographics and insurance coverage, documenting all changes.</li><li>Maintain accurate information on physicians&rsquo; schedules for endoscopy centers and hospitals.</li><li>Communicate procedure information, instructions and financial responsibilities to patients in a timely manner.</li><li>Collect patient balances as communicated by the patient&rsquo;s insurance.</li><li>Receive and return patient phone calls in a timely manner.</li><li>Follow up with patients to reschedule any missed procedures.</li><li>Work collaboratively with physicians, mid-level providers, medical assistants, and hospital representatives in order to optimize patient care.</li><li>Maintain patient confidentiality, HIPPA rules and regulations.</li><li>Create an environment of trust and healthy working relationships.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>One or more years of experience in a customer service setting</li><li>Allscripts PM and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience</li><li>Certifications for Billing and Coding</li><li>Knowledge of ICD-10 Coding, CPT and HCPS Coding</li><li>Previous experience in scheduling for a gastroenterology practice</li><li>Comfortable with multi-line phone system and phone etiquette</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>Bilingual (oral and written) in Spanish</li></ul>Drug Free Workplace: Extensive criminal background check, reference check and drug screen will be performedEqual Opportunity Employer: Gastroenterology Associates of Gainesville, P.C. is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, military or veteran status, gender, color or national origin in its employment practices.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Medical Specialty:<ul><li>Gastroenterology</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have experience with Allscripts PM and EHR?</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Medical scheduling: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>Spanish (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
