<div></div><div><div><b>Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities:</b></div>
<ul><li>Support the implementation of student behavioral plans in collaboration with the educational team.</li>
<li>Implement behavioral interventions in accordance with Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and individualized treatment plans.</li>
<li>Maintain timely, professional communication with teachers and related service providers regarding student behavior, progress, and needs.</li>
<li>Provide individualized and small-group academic support as directed by the teacher to meet student learning goals.</li>
<li>For NYS Certified Teacher Assistants, contribute to lesson planning, instruction, and classroom activities under the teacher&rsquo;s guidance.</li>
<li>Actively supervise assigned student(s) to ensure safety, engagement, and compliance with IEPs and behavior support plans.</li>
<li>Assist in creating and maintaining a supportive classroom environment, including preparing displays, organizing special activities, and engaging with families in coordination with the teacher.</li>
<li>Accurately complete required documentation, including behavioral incidents, interventions, attendance, school notes, and outcome data, to support student monitoring and program accountability.</li>
<li>Participate in required training and professional development opportunities.</li>

<li>Ability to utilize physical restraints in accordance with safety protocols youth after successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training</li>

<ul><li>Create and maintain a safe, structured, and engaging 6:1:1 classroom environment in alignment with student needs and behavioral plans.</li>
<li>Provide active supervision of students at all times to ensure safety, engagement, and compliance with individualized education and behavior plans.</li>
<li>Develop and implement lesson plans that are standards-aligned, developmentally appropriate, culturally responsive, and differentiated to meet diverse learner needs.</li>
<li>Collaborate with and provide guidance to support staff to ensure consistency in instructional and behavioral strategies.</li>
<li>Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state regulations and agency procedures, ensuring all mandated services and accommodations are delivered.</li>
<li>Track and document student progress toward IEP goals through data collection, assessments, and observations; adjust instruction and interventions as needed.</li>
<li>Use assessment data, observations, and professional judgment to make informed instructional and programmatic recommendations.</li>
<li>Design engaging and personalized learning activities that reflect student interests, learning styles, and developmental levels.</li>
<li>Support students&rsquo; academic, social, and emotional development using trauma-informed and restorative practices.</li>
<li>Communicate and collaborate regularly with families, service providers, administrators, and support staff to promote consistency and student success across settings.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including lesson plans, IEP progress, incident reports, and parent communication logs.</li>
<li>Participate in required training and professional development, including maintaining TCI certification, to support continuous professional growth.</li>
