What You'll Do</b></h1><p>
As a <b>Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner</b>, you'll provide comprehensive inpatient care while working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.</p><p>
Your responsibilities include:</p><p>
Performing comprehensive patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations</p><p>
Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based clinical judgment</p><p>
Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating laboratory studies, diagnostic imaging, and other tests</p><p>
Developing individualized treatment plans and prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Illinois law and collaborative practice agreements</p><p>
Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge planning</p><p>
Collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, pharmacists, case management, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate exceptional patient care</p><p>
Maintaining accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)</p><p>
Supporting quality improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards</p><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What We're Looking For</b></h1><p>
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program</p><p>
Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure</p><p>
National Nurse Practitioner certification in an applicable specialty</p><p>
Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)</p><p>
ACLS certification (or ability to obtain if required)</p><p>
Current DEA registration and Illinois controlled substance license</p><p>
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills</p><p>
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced inpatient environment</p><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
