Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an opening for an Administrative Assistant who provides administrative and program support to residential programming. This position reports to a Clinical Manager.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Provides administrative support to the clinical manager and therapy staff.</li><li>
Assists the Clinical Managers in coordinating staff training and keeps timely training records for all staff on campus.</li><li>
Assists Clinical Manager in coordinating programs admissions, LOAs, hospital transfers and discharges in Aura.</li><li>
Schedules necessary appointments and transportation for patients as requested by clinical team.</li><li>
Provides communication with medical team relating to but not limited to: Prescriptions from outside provider. Medical complaints and tasking in Aura. Prescription refill requests. Medication reconciliation: notifies medical team regarding admissions and discharges and obtaining prescriptions. Communicate with pharmacy and medical team to assure continuity of medical care. Ordering of medical supplies.</li><li>
Creates intake packets for new patients and assures these are up to date, complete and available for new admissions.</li><li>
Ordering and maintaining inventory of office supplies for the staff and orders when needed with approval from management.</li><li>
Ordering inventory, maintaining stock, facilitating transactions and communicating with Gift Shop Manager (if applicable).</li><li>
Provide monitoring of medication self-administration as needed.</li><li>
Support mealtime as needed.</li><li>
Provide patient transportation as needed.</li></ul>
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<ul><li>
General office procedure knowledge and experience.</li><li>
Computer literate with working knowledge of WORD and Excel.</li><li>
Strong organization and communication skills.</li><li>
Understanding of addiction and recovery is helpful.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.
</li></ul>Preferred Requirements<ul><li>
Post high school or business/secretarial school.</li></ul>

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an exciting opportunity for a Patient Care Technician at our REST program in our Aliquippa, PA location. Our technician facilitates programming and assures the integrity of the therapeutic milieu, but is primarily responsible for monitoring patient medication self-administration and therapeutic treatments.
As a Patient Care Technician, you will be an integral part of a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to providing high-quality and personalized care to individuals. This position receives frequent supervision and instruction.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Completes medication self-administration training</li><li>
Monitors patient medication self-administration and therapeutic treatments</li><li>
Ensures medication documentation is accurate and complete</li><li>
Ensures patients are adhering to policies and procedures and safe medication practices</li><li>
Conducts patient education on safe medication practices</li><li>
Conducts medication cart audits</li><li>
Facilitates discussion groups and activities.</li><li>
Monitors patient behavior.</li><li>
Documents observations, patient care, and patient interactions</li><li>
Coordinates and collaborates with all departments as necessary</li><li>
Conducts handbook orientation.</li><li>
Conducts searches of patient belongings, rooms, and persons.</li><li>
Acts as a liaison between clinical staff, medical staff, and patients.</li><li>
Assists patients in the completion of patient assessment forms.</li><li>
Assists with phone calls to family members/friends and referral sources.</li><li>
Assists with crises intervention.</li><li>
Drives patients to and from appointments, support groups, activities or other travel as assigned.</li><li>
Document involvement with patients in progress notes.</li><li>
Collects urine and completes paperwork for drug screening as necessary.</li><li>
Provides post-discharge contacts/referrals under therapist direction.</li><li>
Completes intake paperwork as needed.</li><li>
Monitors clients&rsquo; ADLs - including chores, behaviors, and grooming issues.</li><li>
Attend mandatory GRC trainings.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<ul><li>
Ability to monitor self-administer medication with proper competencies. Training will be provided.</li><li>
Ability to adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.</li><li>
Ability to convey information clearly and concisely.</li><li>
Ability to listen to patients without judgement.</li><li>
Ability to show empathy and understanding to patients.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>High School diploma and equivalent.</li><li>
Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant and/or Medication Technician training preferred.</li></ul>
Other Requirements<ul><li>
A clean driving record which allows the ability to drive patients to and from appointments, support groups, activities or other travel as assigned.</li><li>
Pass a PA Criminal Background Check.</li><li>
Obtain a PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting clearances.</li><li>
Pass Drug Screen.</li><li>
2-Step TB Test.</li><li>
CPR/First Aid training.</li><li>
If living a life of recovery, you must attest to at least 18 months in recovery from substance use disorder.</li></ul>
Work Conditions<ul><li>
This position requires mandatory staffing coverage when necessary to provide a safe treatment environment for Gateway residents.</li><li>
Required to remain awake and alert while on duty.</li><li>
Facility treating those with substance use disorders.</li><li>

Moderate mental demands to respond to patients' simultaneous requests.</li><li>
