A newly hired Protector in Maui will earn no less than $75,000 in base earnings during their first year with GDBA. Maui-based Protectors could earn up to $100,000 in first year earnings when accounting for prior relevant experience, GDBA Training Academy performance, and promotion opportunities.

Your Role as a Protector:
<ul>
<li>Monitor property while utilizing the tools and technology of a GDBA Command Center</li>
<li>Screen visitors and vendors; control all access to protected site</li>
<li>Coordinate and execute security plans and respond to medical emergencies</li>
<li>Provide physical protection and logistical support at clients' homes and when they travel</li>
<li>Provide secure transportation as needed</li>
<li>Survey and prepare (advance) locations prior to arrival of client</li>
<li>Prepare detailed documentation of suspicious activity</li>
<li>Create and maintain readiness to meet any threat</li>
</ul>
Who You Are:

Military, law enforcement, or experience in executive protection/security is meaningful, though not a requirement to become a GDBA Protector. We're less interested in what you are than who you are. Our most successful Protectors come from a variety of backgrounds and have succeeded because they communicate effectively, are physically fit, willing to learn, tell the truth, and enjoy working in a team environment. Our promotion system is merit-based. Performance matters most, not seniority.

Hiring Process Requirements:

<li>12-Day Introductory Training Academy in San Antonio, TX</li>
<li>Be able to pass physical readiness test (Pull-ups, Push-ups, Sit-ups, 800m run)</li>
<li>Must be able to swim</li>
<li>Must be drug and nicotine free</li>
<li>Background check required</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain appropriate state firearm and security licensing</li>

Security Specialist

<div>Gavin de Becker &amp; Associates is a dynamic security firm innovating threat assessment and public figure protection. Our mission aims to protect and enhance the lives of those we serve, including many of the world's most influential people. From media figures and corporations to universities and women's shelters, GDBA stands on the front line of the assessment, prediction, and management of violence.

The role is based in San Antonio and will be a mixture of in-person work and remote work. Suitable candidates should be able to commute to North San Antonio, TX at least three times per week. Base compensation for this role ranges from $60k-$70k annually (commensurate with experience).

Responsibilities:

<li>Organize and manage information in our applicant tracking system</li>
<li>Source and contact potential candidates</li>
<li>Cultivate a list of key influencers to help support the flow of applicants</li>
<li>Serve as the primary contact point for all incoming questions</li>
<li>Provide information about GDBA's unique careers and culture</li>
<li>Conduct interviews, assess candidate fit, provide placement recommendations</li>
</ul>
Who You Are:
<ul>
<li>3+ years of recruiting experience in military, law enforcement, security, protective services, or a similarly fast-paced operational environment.</li>
<li>Proactive communicator who keeps candidates engaged and informed throughout the selection process.</li>
<li>Proficient with applicant tracking systems and quick to learn new technologies; experience with Greenhouse, Smartsheet, or similar recruiting and workflow management platforms is a plus.</li>
<li>Able to manage multiple requisitions and shift priorities quickly as business needs change.</li>
<li>Detail-oriented with strong follow-through, ensuring accurate records, timely updates, and a seamless hiring process.</li>
