The ideal candidate is a highly skilled industrial electrician with proven experience in both electrical systems and instrumentation within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
 
Experience & abilities you will need: 
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years recent experience working as an Electrician in an industrial and/or manufacturing work environment to be considered.</li>
<li>Must be able to work rotating shifts.</li>
<li>Comprehensive knowledge of industrial electrical and instrument practices including application of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic principles.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.</li>
<li>Understand AC single phase and three phase systems and DC solid state drives and motor generator sets. Must understand principles of motor operation.</li>
<li>Skilled in electrical control principles.</li>
<li>Ability to read and work from electrical and instrument drawings, blueprints, and manufacturers’ specifications.</li>
<li>Ability to properly install and maintain all necessary fittings, devices, and instruments required for pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.</li>
<li>Motors and transformers maintenance and testing,</li>
<li>Switchgear / Breakers</li>
<li>Must have good written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.</li>
</ul>
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check, physical examination, and drug screening in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
 
Pay is $41.10 an hour.

What you will do: 
This position will support the operations of the plant, instrumentation and electrical needs. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Responsible to the Electrical Supervisor or Leadman for alteration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical and instrument equipment. Has an obligation to keep up with the state of the art in instrument and electrical technology.

Instrumentation Electrician

Experience and abilities you will need: 
<ul>
<li>High school education or higher with emphasis on science.</li>
<li>Ability / willingness to do physical work in all weather conditions while collecting coal samples.</li>
<li>Two years’ experience working in lab environment preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, percentages.</li>
<li>Ability to keep neat and accurate records.</li>
<li>Basic computer skills</li>
<li>Writing and communication skills</li>
<li>Logic and critical thinking</li>
<li>Decision making</li>
<li>Results driven</li>
</ul>
MSHA Surface Certification Required
 To be eligible to work on a federal mine site, candidates must complete a 16-hour MSHA surface certification. If selected, training will be provided at no cost.
 
Position Details: 
<ul>
<li>Starting Pay: $24/hour through a staffing agency</li>
<li>Path to Direct Hire: After a successful probationary period (minimum several months), candidates would be eligible to transition to direct employment with GCC</li>
<li>Direct Hire Pay: $28.00/hour</li>
</ul>
What you will do: 
Under the direction of the Operations Coordinator the Coal Quality Control Technician performs tests on the mined coal to assure conformance to GCC Energy and customer defined standards.
 
<ul>
<li>Collect coal samples from the surface processing operations as defined in the coal sampling procedure document.</li>
<li>Conduct coal sampling procedures in strict accordance with the coal sampling procedure document.</li>
<li>Advise Operations Coordinator of unusual test results or results that don't meet specifications.</li>
<li>Maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety policies and practices, perform daily housekeeping of assigned areas, perform daily workplace inspections, and adhere to GCC policies.</li>
<li>Be familiar with MSHA safety rules, lockout/tagout policy, confined space, emergency response plan, arc flash/shock and burn protection, proper containment and disposal process for lubricants, paints/solvents, and other environmentally sensitive materials.</li>
<li>Calibrates, verifies, and maintains all laboratory equipment, both analytical and physical</li>
<li>Perform tests in accordance to ASTM, and internal SOPs</li>
<li>Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment</li>
<li>Ensure work performed meets department standards, participate in continuous improvement system, observe, and promote best practices, good time management and be able to troubleshoot/analyze root cause failure.</li>
<li>Ensure Roll Crusher, Pulverizer, and Swing Arm Sampler are maintained in good working order at all times.</li>
<li>Work where and when needed as directed by plant supervisory personnel to meet mine needs.</li>
