<div>Position Title: Board Certified/Board Eligible Otolaryngologist (Head &amp; Neck Oncology) 
Location: Oklahoma City VA Health Care System 
Schedule: Full-time (1.0 FTE); includes clinic and OR time as scheduled
Overview: 
The Head and Neck Oncology Specialist provides comprehensive medical and surgical management of benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck. The role requires expertise in complex oncologic, reconstructive, and endocrine surgeries of the head and neck region.
Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Evaluate and manage patients with head and neck cancers, thyroid and parathyroid disease, and complex airway disorders.</li><li>
Perform oncologic surgeries including laryngectomy, neck dissection, free flap reconstruction, thyroidectomy, and skull base procedures.</li><li>
Provide consultation and follow-up care for oncology patients.</li><li>
Participate in tumor boards and coordinate multidisciplinary cancer care.</li><li>
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the VA&rsquo;s EHR systems.</li><li>
Support resident education and quality improvement initiatives as applicable.</li><li>
Adhere to VA clinical protocols and Joint Commission standards.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
MD or DO degree with completion of ACGME-accredited residency in Otolaryngology.</li><li>
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology &ndash; Head and Neck Surgery.</li><li>
Fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology required.</li><li>
Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.</li><li>
Current BLS/ACLS certification.</li><li>
Credentialing and privileging by the VA Medical Executive Board required prior to start.</li></ul>

Location: Oklahoma City VA Health Care System, 921 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 
Schedule: Full-time (1.0 FTE) &ndash; Monday through Friday; clinical and surgical schedule per VA requirements 
Period of Performance: November 1, 2025 &ndash; October 31, 2026
Overview: 
The Otolaryngology Physician (Sinus/Sleep Specialist) provides comprehensive ear, nose, throat, and sleep medicine services to veterans in accordance with the standards of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and The Joint Commission. The physician is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of ENT and sleep-related disorders and performing advanced sinus and anterior skull base surgeries.
Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Conduct outpatient clinics for ENT and sleep disorders, including pre- and post-operative consultations.</li><li>
Perform surgical procedures such as endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, polypectomy, skull base surgeries, tracheostomy, laryngoscopy, and sleep apnea&ndash;related surgeries.</li><li>
Manage patients with complex sinonasal and sleep-related pathologies.</li><li>
Provide emergency and inpatient consultation as required.</li><li>
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and tumor boards as applicable.</li><li>
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records using VA systems (CPRS/VistA).</li><li>
Ensure compliance with VA directives, patient safety protocols, and HIPAA standards.</li><li>
Maintain current CME and BLS/ACLS certifications.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).</li><li>
Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Otolaryngology &ndash; Head and Neck Surgery.</li><li>
Fellowship training in Sinus and Sleep Medicine required.</li><li>
Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.</li><li>
Credentialing and privileging approval through VA required before practice.</li><li>
Proficiency in English (spoken and written).</li></ul>

Location: Oklahoma City VA Health Care System 
Schedule: 0.3 FTE &ndash; typically scheduled every other week; clinic and OR days per VA schedule
Overview: 
The Otology Specialist provides advanced medical and surgical management of disorders of the ear and related structures, including hearing and balance issues. The physician will deliver outpatient and surgical care to veterans, maintaining a high standard of quality consistent with national otolaryngology standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Diagnose and manage auditory, vestibular, and otologic diseases.</li><li>
Perform surgical procedures including tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, stapedectomy, cochlear implantation, and bone-anchored hearing aid placement.</li><li>
Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of chronic otitis media, cholesteatoma, and other ear pathologies.</li><li>
Collaborate with audiology, neurology, and primary care providers for coordinated patient care.</li><li>
Document all encounters in VA electronic health record systems.</li><li>
Participate in infection control, quality assurance, and performance improvement activities.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.</li><li>
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology.</li><li>
Fellowship training in Otology required.</li><li>
Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. jurisdiction.</li><li>
Proficiency in CPRS and VA documentation standards.</li><li>
BLS and ACLS certification (current).</li></ul>
