The Job 


At GeekPlus, a Field Operation Engineer is the primary point of contact with our project managers, supply chain specialists, service program managers, suppliers, and customers. They team with internal functions to understand all the details of the system configuration and site dynamics. They work with internal and external resources to coordinate all aspects of a Robotic Systems deployment and maintenance at a customer site. 


As a Team Lead, you will manage a team of Field Operation Engineers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hardware components, systems, and troubleshooting techniques related to autonomous mobile robots. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment, maintenance, and optimization of our AMR fleet across diverse operational environments. In addition to your technical capabilities, you will support direct reports in their project issues and guide them in their professional development. 


Responsibilities: 

<ul>
<li>Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Field Operation Engineers enabling them to achieve corporate objectives and develop their capabilities</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Execute strategic projects as described below to maintain your own professional relevance and sharpness and to set the example</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Lead, manage, and mentor a team of contractors, providing guidance, support, and clear expectations to ensure tasks are completed with right lead time and quality. Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and quality of work, identifying and addressing any issues that arise.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Conduct onsite implementation project planning including scope of work, budget, schedule, and subcontracting services and merge with the master project plan.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Manage implementation plan by closely communicating with internal and external stakeholders, especially with supply chain on delivery schedules.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Conduct thorough hardware inspections, quality control checks, and pre-deployment testing to identify and resolve any potential issues.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Prepare hardware environment for SIT, UAT and Performance Testing and participate in testing.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Diagnose and resolve hardware-related problems, both remotely and on-site, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal robot performance.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Document all hardware-related issues, solutions, and best practices in a clear and organized manner.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in autonomous robotics hardware and contribute insights to enhance the company's competitive edge. Able to quickly learn new products.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Develop and provide trainings to customers, team members and service partners.</li></ul> 


Requirements: 

<ul>
<li>Ability to manage site implementation across teams including client's operations &amp; IT teams and various site contractors.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Experience of warehouse automation/manufacturing automation/electrical and mechanical installation.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Exceptional oral and written communication skills.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Ability to learn quickly and adapt in new complex issues and learn new technology on the go.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Possess a positive can-do attitude, enthusiastic about learning and problem-solving.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Proficiency in online collaboration tools, MS office suites.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Ability to travel up to 50% + You'll be traveling to client sites (generally Monday-Friday).</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Ability to work without visa sponsorship.</li></ul> 


Preferred: 

<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical Engineering, or 3-5 years of equivalent industry experience.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>PLC programming (preferably with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs) and HMI programming is a plus.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Experience with Robotic Systems is a plus.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Experience managing direct reports is a plus.</li></ul> 

<ul>
<li>Bilingual (English and Mandarin) is a plus.</li></ul>
