Our operations involve heavy fabrication, precision components, and export-oriented machinery manufacturing.Job LocationKolkata, West Bengal (Factory &amp; Head Office based role)Experience Required3&ndash;7 years in engineering / mechanical purchase Experience in machinery manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial equipment is mandatoryQualification<ul><li>Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)</li><li>Strong practical exposure to fabrication materials and bought-out items</li></ul>Key Responsibilities Engineering &amp; Raw Material Procurement<ul><li>Procure steel plates, sheets, pipes, tubes, angles, channels, flats, SS 304 / 316, alloy steel</li><li>Purchase motors, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, pumps, valves, fasteners, electrical bought-outs</li><li>Vendor sourcing for machining, fabrication, surface treatment, and job work</li></ul>Drawing-Based Purchase (Critical Requirement)<ul><li>Read and understand AutoCAD mechanical drawings</li><li>Extract BOM / material specifications from drawings</li><li>Calculate material quantities, grades, thickness, and sizes accurately</li><li>Coordinate with design &amp; production teams for clarifications</li></ul>Vendor Management &amp; Cost Control<ul><li>Identify, develop, and negotiate with reliable vendors</li><li>Obtain competitive quotations, prepare comparative statements</li><li>Finalize suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability</li><li>Maintain long-term vendor relationships</li></ul>Purchase Process &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Issue Purchase Orders (POs) with correct technical specifications</li><li>Follow up for timely delivery and coordinate with stores &amp; production</li><li>Ensure compliance with company purchase procedures</li><li>Maintain purchase records, vendor database, and MIS reports</li></ul>Inventory &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Monitor raw material and bought-out inventory levels</li><li>Coordinate with production planning to avoid shortages or excess stock</li><li>Support cost optimization and material standardization initiatives</li></ul>Key Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Strong knowledge of mechanical materials &amp; engineering components</li><li>Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings</li><li>Excellent negotiation and communication skills</li><li>Commercial understanding of taxes, freight, payment terms</li><li>Familiarity with ERP / Excel / MIS reporting</li><li>Proactive, detail-oriented, and process-driven</li></ul>Preferred Industry Background<ul><li>Machinery manufacturing</li><li>Heavy engineering / fabrication units</li><li>Food processing / pharma / chemical equipment manufacturers</li><li>OEMs or EPC companies</li></ul>CTC / CompensationAs per industry standards and experience (Best in class for the right candidate)Why Join Us<ul><li>Exposure to export-oriented machinery projects</li><li>Direct involvement with engineering, design, and production</li><li>Long-term growth and leadership opportunity</li><li>Stable organization with technical depth</li></ul>How to ApplyInterested candidates may apply with their updated CV highlighting:<ul><li>Mechanical purchase experience</li><li>Drawing-based procurement exposure</li><li>Current &amp; expected CTC</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;15,726.49 - &#8377;24,501.66 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
