Wage Range: </b>$23.26 &ndash; 38.36 per hour, taking experience into consideration.</div><div><b>

Schedule: </b>8 hour days 7:00am &ndash; 3:30pm ( Mon through Fri)</div><div><ul><li>

A day in the life of a Industrial Maintenance Technician at Gemini includes:</p><div><ul><li>
Reads and understands blueprints and wiring diagrams used in diagnosing mechanical or electrical problems.</li><li>
Performs construction, fabrication, welding and remodeling projects, building walls, shelving, storage bins, or similar fixtures, hanging ceilings, pouring concrete, duct work and other related jobs.</li><li>
Evaluates site requirements and recommends new or modified equipment. Installs technical equipment as required, making appropriate electrical, air and water connections and aligning equipment for production use.</li><li>
Troubleshoots and diagnoses mechanical and electrical failures of CNC and PLC controlled production and facilities equipment. Repairs all equipment and may modify such equipment to improve efficiency.</li><li>
Performs preventive maintenance and repairs as required and directed.</li><li>
Installs or replaces lighting fixtures, repairing electrical wiring when required.</li><li>
Initiates parts requisitions, obtaining quotations from approved vendors for plant equipment.</li><li>
Conducts periodic inspections of production equipment as required.</li><li>
Maintains a record of replacement parts and equipment to facilitate emergency repairs.</li><li>
Ensures the appearance of the buildings and grounds exceeds the expectations of the plant managers and visitors.</li><li>
Follows standard safety procedures, and uses all approved safety devices and equipment, as required. Notifies appropriate plant manager of any safety issues. Ensures arc flash PPE inspections are performed and documented and such PPE is worn when required by NFPA 70E.</li><li>
Checks the condition of company vehicles, repairs or delivers vehicles to a commercial garage for required work.</li><li>
Operates snow removal equipment as required, spreading sand in parking lot and on sidewalks as necessary.</li><li>
Maintains preventive maintenance schedules and develops related reports and records for all equipment in the Fast Trak Maintenance program.</li><li>
Serves as site Information Technologies technician, maintaining the site servers and electronic communications equipment.</li><li>
Coordinate with Lead team on timing and execution of scheduled training.</li><li>
Utilizes ISO standards and Gemstar&rsquo;s quality management system to drive business results.</li><li>
All other duties as needed for the benefit of the group or organization.</li></ul></div><p></p><p><b><br>
Skills and Abilities</b></p><div><ul><li>
Technical understanding of processes in the scope of the positions for which they are training.</li><li>
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>
Project management including establishing and maintaining project timelines with minimum direct supervision.</li><li>
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to influence and support continuous improvement driven change.</li><li>
Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods along with the flexibility and adaptability to accept, support, and deploy new processes in a changing business environment.</li><li>
Skilled at effective communications at both technical and leadership levels. Skills must include good interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills, and ability to understand information and ideas as presented.</li><li>
Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships, both internal and external, and establish credibility with business partners.</li><li>
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time/workload and delegate work to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.</li><li>
Proficiency with a variety of computer programs.</li></ul></div><p></p><p><b><br>
Education and Experience</b></p><div><ul><li>
2-year degree in technical field, preferably electronics</li><li>
5+ years maintenance experience in an industrial environment</li><li>
Electrical, plumbing, and welding/fabrication experience preferred.</li></ul></div><p></p><p><i><br>
