 Gemma Power Systems is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Helpdesk Intern to provide frontline support for end-users, ensuring seamless IT operations across our construction sites and corporate offices. Our IT department is committed to delivering high-quality technical support, implementing IT solutions, and enhancing business functions through effective technology management.

 Position Overview
 
 
 
 
 As an IT Helpdesk Intern, you will act as one of Gemma&rsquo;s IT resources at our home office while also providing remote and on-site support to project locations. You will be responsible for helping to support end-users and ensure the smooth operation of technology systems. This role requires knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Job Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 Helpdesk &amp; End-User Support:
 
 
 <ul>
 
 <li>
 Serve asapoint of contact for IT-related issues via ticketing system, phone, and in-person support.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Troubleshoothardware, software, and network problems, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Provide support for VPN, remote desktop connections, and mobile device configurations.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Maintain documentation of troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and user guides for common IT issues.
 </li>

 Education and Experience Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 
 <li>
 Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Familiarity with Windows Environments, networking protocols, and IT infrastructure.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Ability to diagnose &amp; resolve IT issues swiftly and effectively.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Possesses an understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and switching.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and Intune device management.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Adheres to policies &amp; procedures as documented for IT-related activities.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Hands-on experience with Cisco, Cisco Meraki, and/or Ubiquiti networking equipment is a plus.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Previous work or intern experience in an IT helpdesk or IT support role is a plus.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Effective communication, time management, and independent problem-solving skills.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Must possess excellent verbal &amp; written communication skills.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Punctual and reliable with a commitment to daily attendance.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Must be self-driven and adaptable.
 </li>

 Physical Demands and Work Environment

 Must be comfortable with frequently standing or moving.
 </li>

 Will occasionally need to move boxes &amp; equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

 May require work in confined or elevated spaces, including occasional ladder use to service equipment.
