We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist or Associate Scientist (In Vivo Research) to join our growing team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the development of cutting-edge adoptive cell therapies within a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Design, develop, and execute in vivo experimental protocols; generate clear, thorough scientific documentation and reports.</li><li>Establish, optimize, and execute murine models to evaluate novel adoptive T cell therapies in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate experimental data through written reports and oral presentations.</li><li>Coordinate project activities and timelines to ensure alignment with research objectives and deliverables.</li><li>Supervise, train, and mentor research associates, as appropriate.</li><li>Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high scientific rigor, data integrity, and reproducibility.</li><li>Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture within a dynamic startup environment.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Advanced degree (Ph.D., M.S., or B.S.) in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, or a related discipline.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of hands-on research experience; prior industry experience is strongly preferred.</li><li>Extensive experience designing, executing, and documenting in vivo studies, including preparation and management of IACUC protocols.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in animal tumor models, including but not limited to:</li><li>Xenograft models (CDX and PDX)</li><li>Syngeneic models</li><li>Humanized mouse models</li><li>Strong proficiency with vivarium techniques, including:</li><li>Handling of mice and rats</li><li>Expertise in multiple dosing routes (IV, IP, SC, PO, IM, etc.)</li><li>Proficiency in blood collection methods (tail vein, retro-orbital, cardiac puncture)</li><li>Experience with tissue collection and necropsy</li><li>Strong data analysis and experimental interpretation skills.</li><li>Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and timelines.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications and Skills<ul><li>In-depth knowledge of pharmacology (PK/PD) and toxicology.</li><li>Experience with multicolor flow cytometry, immunophenotyping, and advanced cell culture techniques.</li><li>Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or early-stage biotech environment.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring or supervising junior scientists.</li><li>Strong commitment to scientific integrity and ethical research practices.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.</li><li>Adaptability to evolving project needs and comfort working under tight timelines.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a constructive approach to collaboration and conflict resolution.</li><li>Highly self-motivated, creative, and goal-oriented.</li></ul>At Gencyte Therapeutics, you will be part of a passionate and driven team working to redefine cancer treatment through innovative immunotherapy platforms.
