 Summary
GeneDx is a patient-centered technology company seeking an IT Associate Portfolio Manager who will play a crucial role in shaping our IT portfolio and driving successful outcomes for all GeneDx. As an IT Associate Project Manager, you will support the execution of Tier 1 and Tier 2 projects across all IT Domains. Working closely with IT Portfolio and IT engineering and several cross-functional teams, you will help identify customer needs, define requirements, and drive the successful delivery of IT solutions that enhance business operations. 

Job Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Assist in planning and scoping IT Tier1 and 2 projects, including defining objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.</li>
<li>Coordinate daily project activities, track tasks, manage schedules, and maintain project documentation.</li>
<li>Facilitate stand-ups, status meetings, and stakeholder updates; prepare meeting notes and action items.</li>
<li>Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate and drive mitigation plans.</li>
<li>Support requirements gathering, change requests, and impact assessments in collaboration with business analysts and technical leads.</li>
<li>Maintain project plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and dashboards; report progress and KPIs.</li>
<li>Partner with IT engineering domains to ensure technical implementation aligns with the product vision, architecture guidelines, security standards, and user needs.</li>
<li>Help manage vendor coordination, SOWs, and procurement activities as needed.</li>
<li>Assist with test planning, UAT coordination, and release readiness.</li>
<li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes, templates, and best practices.</li>
<li>Run CAB (Change Advisory Board) meetings, coordinate stakeholder reviews and approvals.</li>

 Education, Experience, and Skills
<ul>
<li>1-3 years of experience, ideally within IT service management (ITSM) in a SaaS environment, with the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable product features.</li>
<li>1-3 years of experience in IT project coordination, portfolio support, or a similar role.</li>
<li>Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills, capable of effectively managing and prioritizing multiple projects.</li>
<li>Collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset and strong technical troubleshooting abilities.</li>
<li>Skilled at guiding users and stakeholders to make informed decisions that align with project goals.</li>
<li>Experience in creating project documentation and training users on new product implementations.</li>
<li>Strong communicator with the ability to convey technical issues and solutions clearly across various organizational levels.</li>
<li>Familiarity with HIPAA, CLIA, and SOX compliance standards.</li>
<li>Analytical mindset with attention to detail; comfortable with metrics and reporting.</li></ul>

Work Environment

 This is a fully remote position with some travel to the Gaithersburg lab as needed. The employee will work from a home office or other suitable remote location with reliable high-speed internet access. Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment using standard office equipment, including a computer, phone, and video conferencing tools. Your standard work schedule and hours will be established in collaboration with your leader and may be adjusted to align with evolving business needs.

Physical Demands

This is a sedentary role requiring prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer. Physical demands include:
