The <b>Operations Supervisor - Machining </b>must possess an energetic and positive attitude and be willing to change and develop as requirements of assigned tasks dictate.</div><div></div><div><br>
Responsibilities include:</div><ul><li>
Daily assignments and overall coordination of employees to ensure maximum performance, efficiency and quality of functions</li><li>
Ability to effectively organize and assign work to hourly employees such that safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives are met</li><li>
Ability to set, assign and measure daily production goals, instruct, mentor, motivate and hold crew members accountable as required</li><li>
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, reduce work order span times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively with other multi-trade Supervisors on the team to provide first time quality on time</li><li>
Implement process improvement projects and review production methods and capabilities</li><li>
Optimize efforts to meet objectives related to costs, scheduling, training, safety, and quality</li><li>
Possess knowledge of safe work practices; ability to comprehend and follow or issue verbal and /or written instructions; willing to work as necessary to support production needs</li><li>
Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with subordinates and supervisors</li></ul><div><b>

This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI</b></div>
Qualifications:
<div>
Required:</div><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
3+ years of machining experience</li><li>
Able and available to work all assigned shifts and extended hours, as business needs dictate</li><li>
Proficiency in blueprint and drawing interpretation</li><li>
Possess strong PC skills including proficiency with MS Word and Excel</li><li>
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of Defense</li></ul><div>
Preferred:</div><ul><li>
3+ years supervisory/leadership experience in a relevant field</li><li>
5+ years machining experience</li><li>
Vocational/College/Technical school or Apprentice Programs</li><li>
Relevant education or training</li><li>
Previous EB experience</li><li>
MDU training</li><li>
Relevant Navy/military experience</li></ul>
Skills:
<ul><li>Good organizational, presentation and communication skills</li><li>
Ability to interact with various levels of employees in the organization</li><li>
