Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Secretary to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a diverse range of practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills, excellent drafting abilities, and proficiency with legal case management systems. This position provides vital administrative support to attorneys and ensures the smooth operation of the law office.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence.</li><li>Manage case files and document management systems</li><li>Conduct client interviews and gather pertinent information for case development.</li><li>Draft legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.</li><li>Organize and maintain case files, ensuring proper filing and data entry in electronic systems.</li><li>Support litigation processes through document review, filing court documents, and managing deadlines.</li><li>Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling phone inquiries with professionalism.</li><li>Assist with project management tasks related to various practice areas</li><li>Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, proofreading and maintaining organized document repositories.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience as a paralegal or legal secretary</li><li>Proficiency with legal case management software such as PCLaw and document management systems like iManage.</li><li>Excellent drafting skills for legal documents; ability to proofread meticulously.</li><li>Experience with legal administrative tasks including file management and data entry.</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.</li><li>Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette.</li><li>Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating strong attention to detail in document review and legal drafting.</li><li>This role is ideal for a motivated individual seeking to leverage their paralegal experience within a dynamic legal environment that values professionalism and precision.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Work Location: In person
