Safety &amp; Compliance ManagerLocation: Van Buren / Fort Smith, ARJob Type: Full-TimeIn-Office Industry: Asset-Based TruckingAbout the RoleART Transport Inc. is seeking a Safety &amp; Compliance Manager to oversee DOT and FMCSA compliance for our asset-based trucking operation. This is a hands-on role focused on regulatory compliance, audit readiness, driver qualification, and fleet safety.The position works closely with operations and maintenance to ensure safe, compliant day-to-day operations.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Oversee safety &amp; compliance of 100+ truck fleet.</li><li>Manage DOT and FMCSA compliance (HOS, ELD, DQ files, Drug &amp; Alcohol, vehicle maintenance, inspections, Clearinghouse)</li><li>Maintain audit-ready compliance files and support DOT audits and inspections</li><li>Monitor CSA BASICs, inspections, violations, and accident trends</li><li>Investigate accidents and safety incidents; ensure proper documentation and follow-up</li><li>Coordinate driver onboarding, safety orientation, and ongoing training</li><li>Partner with operations and maintenance on corrective actions</li><li>Prepare and manage IFTA reporting, including mileage tracking and documentation</li><li>Conduct internal compliance audits and reporting</li><li>Stay current on regulatory changes and update policies as needed</li><li>Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management as required</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>3&ndash;5+ years of safety and compliance experience in asset-based trucking</li><li>Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations</li><li>Experience with ELD systems and compliance documentation</li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>DOT or safety certifications</li><li>Experience supporting DOT audits</li><li>Familiarity with telematics and CSA management</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Paid time off and holidays</li><li>401(k) with company match</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
