General Operatives Salary: £12.21 p/h Hours: Various Shifts available Contract: Temp to Perm Position Generation People is currently hiring for and working with several well-established companies based in Chesterfield, and due to this we are looking for a number of General operators and assemblers for various clients in and around Chesterfield and Mansfield. We are looking for someone who can work in a sometimes fast-paced environment and can produce a high standard of work, as our clients works in various sectors. Daily Duties for General Operatives include: <ul> <li>Assembly of products to bespoke designs and client specifications.</li> <li>Working on the bench and/or operating various machinery</li> <li>Quality checking own work</li> <li>Operating various hand tools</li> <li>Assisting with packing and despatch of completed products ready for delivery.</li> <li>Adhering to health and safety procedures</li> <li>Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.</li> <li>Any other associated duties within this role</li> </ul> Candidate Requirements: <ul> <li>Conscientious and hard working.</li> <li>Experience in assembly, manufacturing or production work would be advantageous.</li> <li>Must have good hand-eye coordination & attention to detail.</li> <li>Team Player and able to work on own initiative</li> </ul>

Production Operative s Starting Salary: £12.21 p/h Location: Mansfield, NG17 Shifts: Full Time, Days Monday to Thursday (7.00am 15.30pm) Friday (7.00am 14.30pm) (39 hours per week) OT availability Generations People is currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join a highly reputable team based in the Mansfield, NG17 area. Our client is a British manufacturer and supplier of high performance, industrial and decorative coatings and paints. The Production Operatives are responsible for performing various tasks within a manufacturing factory to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This role involves operating machinery, handling raw materials, conducting quality checks and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Additionally, the Production Operative will actively participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to the manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork. Responsibilities for the Production Operatives. Your duties will include: <ul> <li>Operate paint making manufacturing equipment such as High-speed dispersers, bead mills and pumps.</li> <li>Manufacture products within deadlines to ensure warehouse and/or customer lead times are met.</li> <li>Follow product formulations and manufacturing methods to mix products.</li> <li>Submit samples for quality control testing.</li> <li>Handle and load hazardous and non-hazardous dry materials.</li> <li>Handle and dispense hazardous and non-hazardous</li> <li>Provide testing samples to Quality Control.</li> <li>Comply with company policies, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.</li> <li>Collaborate with other departments to complete production orders on time</li> <li>Contribute ideas to improve or optimise manufacturing procedures</li> <li>Keep tools, equipment, and work environment clean and organised daily</li> <li>Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.</li> <li>Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and workflow.</li> <li>Assist with inventory management and stock check audits.</li> <li>Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.</li> </ul> Essential Skills and Competences: <ul> <li>Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.</li> <li>Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is advantageous.</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality output in all tasks.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues.</li> <li>Basic computer skills and experience using Microsoft word and excel.</li> <li>GCSE in Maths, Science or Technology based subject.</li> <li>Experience working in a manufacturing or production facility desirable</li> <li>Experience operating machinery or equipment.</li> <li>Experience handling raw materials and/or finished goods.</li> <li>Have experience using material handling equipment. Such as forklifts</li> <li>Previous experience in the coatings industry Advantageous</li> <li>Experience handling powder raw materials and weighing quantities for manufacture.</li> </ul>
