Some of the counties included for On site visits include the following: Bryan, Burke, Effingham, Liberty, McIntosh and Tattnall. Geographically, we would prefer the candidate to reside in or near one of the counties listed or a surrounding county.</b></div><div></div><div><br>

About this position:</b></div><p>
The Nurse Practitioner works under the supervision of a physician in a correctional environment and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, performing assessments, diagnosing patients, and medication management.</p><p><b>
Education</b></p><ul><li><div>
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing</div></li></ul><p><b>
Certifications / Experience</b></p><ul><li><div>
Current, unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse Practitioner in the state the facility is located (maintain a current copy of license on file at the facility)</div></li><li><div>
1 year of direct work experience, preferred</div></li><li><div>
Active CPR certification</div></li><li><div>
Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Collaborative Physician in accordance with state and federal guidelines.</div></li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Job Type: Part Time</b></p><ul><li><div>
Correctional experience preferred, but not required</div></li><li><div>
Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check</div></li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Available shift:</b></p><ul><li><div>
Hours will vary depending upon the site</div></li><li><div>
PRN Availability</div></li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
General duties include but not limited to:</b></div><ul><li><div>
Conduct on-site or telehealth (site specific) chronic care clinics and sick call as needed</div></li><li><div>
Ensure progress notes are documented in appropriate format are problem oriented, correspond to the therapeutic order and is dated, timed and legible</div></li><li><div>
Adhere to the established formulary before using non-formulary</div></li><li><div>
Regularly review cases that require ongoing medical/pharmaceutical attention</div></li><li><div>
Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures and NCCHC standards where applicable</div></li><li><div>
Assist in designating the level of care to be performed and the necessary equipment needed</div></li><li><div>
Consult with multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive adequate care</div></li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
