The position is open to diploma holders, B.Tech/BS graduates, and MS graduates from mechanical or other relevant engineering backgrounds who are willing to work with their hands, learn from experiments, and grow through real-world technical exposure.The work will involve mechanical prototypes, thermal systems, cooling systems, pumps, fans, pipes, heat exchangers, ducts, fabrication, testing, measurement, vendor coordination, and field trials. The selected candidate should be comfortable doing both simple support tasks and learning-oriented technical tasks.This is not a purely office-based research job. It is an applied R&amp;D role for someone who wants to become a practical engineer.Suitable Educational BackgroundsCandidates from the following backgrounds may apply:<ul><li>B.Tech Mechanical, Mechatronics, Energy, Industrial, Electrical, or related fields</li><li>Dip/BS Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Dip/BS Mechatronics Engineering</li><li>BS Energy Engineering</li><li>BS Industrial Engineering</li><li>BS Electrical Engineering with interest in mechanical systems</li><li>BS Civil Engineering with interest in infrastructure, field systems, and applied technical work</li><li>MS Mechanical, Energy Systems, Mechatronics, HVAC, Thermal Engineering, or related fields</li></ul>Higher qualification is welcome, but the candidate must be willing to work hands-on.Key Responsibilities1. Hands-On Prototype and Workshop Support<ul><li>Assist in assembling, modifying, repairing, and testing mechanical prototypes.</li><li>Work with pipes, pumps, fans, heat exchangers, tanks, ducts, insulation, frames, fittings, and basic mechanical components.</li><li>Support cutting, drilling, fastening, sealing, mounting, measuring, and basic fabrication tasks.</li><li>Help prepare experimental setups for cooling, HVAC, geothermal, thermal storage, and heat-exchange systems.</li><li>Coordinate with welders, fabricators, plumbers, electricians, machine shops, and workshop technicians.</li><li>Keep tools, materials, equipment, and the workspace clean, organized, and ready for use.</li></ul>2. Testing and Measurement<ul><li>Take readings such as temperature, flow rate, pressure, voltage, current, dimensions, operating time, and system performance.</li><li>Record data clearly in notebooks, Excel sheets, Google Sheets, or provided reporting formats.</li><li>Repeat tests carefully and consistently according to instructions.</li><li>Observe and report issues such as leakage, overheating, vibration, weak airflow, poor water flow, noise, loose fittings, or system failure.</li><li>Take photos and videos of test setups, prototypes, field installations, and experimental results.</li></ul>3. Applied Research and Learning Tasks<ul><li>Conduct basic research on mechanical systems, HVAC components, thermal systems, cooling technologies, pumps, fans, heat exchangers, sensors, and materials.</li><li>Search for components, suppliers, datasheets, manuals, product examples, and technical references.</li><li>Compare prices, specifications, and practical suitability of different components.</li><li>Help summarize experimental observations, test results, and lessons learned.</li><li>Learn technical concepts through real prototypes, field trials, and guided experimentation.</li></ul>4. Procurement and Market Coordination<ul><li>Visit local markets, vendors, workshops, and suppliers to source parts and materials.</li><li>Collect quotations and compare prices.</li><li>Check availability and quality of components before purchase.</li><li>Follow up with vendors and fabricators for delivery, repair, modification, or fabrication work.</li><li>Assist with loading, unloading, transport, and safe storage of materials and equipment.</li></ul>5. Documentation and Reporting<ul><li>Maintain simple daily work logs.</li><li>Record tasks completed, materials used, tests performed, and problems observed.</li><li>Share photos, videos, and short updates through WhatsApp, email, or shared folders.</li><li>Help prepare simple reports, sketches, test summaries, and component lists.</li></ul>Required Skills and AttitudeThe most important requirement is a practical and learning-oriented attitude.The candidate should have:<ul><li>Strong willingness to work with hands, tools, and real equipment.</li><li>Practical problem-solving mindset.</li><li>Ability to follow instructions carefully.</li><li>Willingness to perform small, repetitive, and sometimes menial technical tasks.</li><li>Curiosity to understand how systems work.</li><li>Ability to learn from mistakes, failed tests, and repeated experiments.</li><li>Comfort working in workshops, rooftops, outdoor test sites, and field locations.</li><li>Honesty, punctuality, discipline, and care with tools and equipment.</li><li>Basic ability to document work through notes, photos, videos, and measurements.</li></ul>Preferred SkillsThe following skills are preferred but not mandatory:<ul><li>Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, plumbing, ducting, fabrication, or mechanical maintenance.</li><li>Basic Excel, Google Sheets, internet research, and reporting skills.</li><li>Ability to read simple sketches, drawings, manuals, or datasheets.</li><li>Familiarity with sensors, Arduino, data logging, basic electrical wiring, or instrumentation.</li><li>Experience working with technicians, workshops, contractors, or field installation teams.</li></ul>Type of Candidate We Are Looking ForWe are looking for someone who wants to become a real practical engineer.This role is suitable for a candidate who understands that early-career engineering growth often comes from hands-on exposure, not only from office work or theoretical research.
