ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: A Time Out Room Moderator is required to perform the following duties:<ul><li>Work collaboratively and harmoniously with Lead Classroom Teacher</li><li>Support established classroom rules and protocol</li><li>Motivate and support students in reaching high levels of academic success</li><li>Create a positive student culture around online learning and small group tutoring</li><li>Maintain high behavioral expectations for all students</li><li>Interpret, manage, and utilize multiple sets of data in order to best support student progress</li><li>Perform targeted individual assistance and small group tutoring</li><li>Assist with the creation of individual learning plans for each student enrolled</li><li>Maintain frequent communication with students and their support network regarding academic progress</li><li>Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators</li><li>Participate in staff development opportunities</li><li>Participate in all relative grade appropriate or requested staff meetings</li><li>Ensure the security of computer equipment and accessories</li><li>Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by Lead Classroom Teacher and Principal</li></ul>REPORTS TO/TERM:PrincipalFull Time 10-month positionRequirements<ul><li>Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred</li><li>Commitment to the mission and organizational goals of GEO Academies</li><li>Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.</li><li>Experience or familiarity in the following areas: Blended Learning, Online learning / coursework, Successful teaching experience in an urban environment , 3 years&rsquo; experience working with students in educational setting (preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person

They will be required to perform the following:<ul><li>Keep tech rooms clean and organized</li><li>Assist students, parents, and teachers with various Chromebook issues over the phone or in person.</li><li>Manage user accounts</li><li>Basic troubleshooting of hardware and software issues</li><li>Perform repairs on Chromebooks brought to the school</li><li>Use a ticketing system for accountability and customer service</li><li>Provide professional, courteous customer service</li><li>Maintain ongoing inventory and maintain organization of all records</li><li>Be cheerfully willing to work towards the better good of the school at times even when asked to assist with duties not in your regular work schedule</li><li>Attend all scheduled staff meetings and attend designated school functions outside of school hours if asked</li><li>Follow the GEO Foundation and school policies and procedures.</li><li>Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate</li><li>Dress professionally when on school grounds</li></ul>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Must have proven customer service experience</li><li>Must have organization Skills</li><li>Must have experience working with Chromebooks or similar devices</li><li>Must have reliable transportation</li><li>Ability to work outside normal hours or work week</li><li>Critical thinking and ability to research issues</li></ul>Join us as a Support Technician if you&rsquo;re passionate about technology support excellence!
