What you will be doing:
<ul>
<li>Coordinates daily activities within the distribution center</li>
<li>Supervises staff and directs work as they execute activities related to order fulfillment, order management, inventory management, stocking, material handling, equipment usage, and related needs</li>
<li>Prepares work schedules and reacts quickly and effectively regarding unexpected labor needs</li>
<li>Manages labor hours and payroll in electronic timekeeping system</li>
<li>Interviews and trains prospective and new team members</li>
<li>Supervises business support staff development including appraising performance, rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems</li>
<li>Ensures team understands and works toward performance goals</li>
<li>Recommends process improvements within the warehouse or distribution center</li>
<li>Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels</li>
<li>Ensures compliance to all company and customer policies and procedures including safety</li>
<li>Schedules work for special and periodic inventories</li>
<li>Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies</li>
<li>Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and ISO9002 procedures</li>
<li>Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of team.</li>
<li>Prepares reports for leadership</li>
<li>Assists in maintaining the physical properties of the warehouse</li>
<li>Submits weekly, monthly and other special services billing to customer services representatives</li>
<li>Supervises employees in distribution center operation in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws</li>
<li>Other duties as required and assigned</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>For food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to senior management to initiate action</li></ul> 


Requirements
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent</li>
<li>Minimum 3 to 5 years related warehouse and/or distribution center experience</li>
<li>1 year of supervisory experience preferred</li>
<li>Experience with warehouse equipment</li>
<li>Experience with warehouse management systems</li>
<li>Experience with labor management systems</li>
<li>PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual</li>
<li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence</li>
<li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form</li></ul>

Your role on the team: 

<ul><li>Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance 
</li>
<li>Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions 
</li>
<li>Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals 
</li>
<li>Keep track of Personnel transactions such as: new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting 
</li>
<li>Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment 
</li>
<li>Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues 
</li>
<li>Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs 
</li>
<li>Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization 
</li>
<li>Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within the organization 
</li>
<li>Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance 
</li>
<li>Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations 
</li>
<li>Manages subordinates, such as Human Resources Coordinator, Human Resources Generalist and/or Manager Campus Human Resources 
</li>
<li>Directs, coordinates, and evaluates the assigned unit(s) by carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

What you need: 

<ul><li>Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training

</li><li>PHR, SPHR or GPHR certified preferred 
</li>
<li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
 
</li><li>Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
 
</li><li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
