Job Summary: The Proposal Manager/Writer II is responsible for developing and submitting high-quality responses that propose Geographic Solutions&rsquo; workforce and unemployment software systems to local, regional, and state government agencies. This role coordinates input from cross-functional teams and drafts compelling proposals by blending newly written content with boilerplate and past proposals to ensure full compliance with all requirements and evaluation criteria.
 Viable candidates must be willing to travel onsite at GSI's headquarters in Palm Harbor, Florida for New Hire Orientation and as needed. 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Review RFPs, RFIs, and other opportunities to support research, analysis, and response planning</li><li>
Create outlines and shell documents for proposal responses</li><li>
Facilitate and lead proposal kick-off meetings, strategy meetings, and proposal review sessions</li><li>
Collect and coordinate input from cross-functional teams and subject matter experts</li><li>
Articulate win themes, technical solutions, discriminators, and key requirements clearly and consistently throughout proposal documents</li><li>
Apply formatting, writing, editing, and proofreading skills to develop organized proposal drafts</li><li>
Lead Color Team reviews and manage follow-up revisions</li><li>
Ensure overall proposal quality, consistency, and compliance with solicitation requirements</li><li>
Prepare final master files in Word and PDF formats for submission</li><li>
Organize and maintain proposal files and folders within SharePoint</li><li>
Manage multiple proposals and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines</li><li>
Participate in all proposal debriefs and lessons-learned sessions</li><li>
Maintain and update proposal boilerplate content following each submission</li><li>
Stay current on product offerings to ensure boilerplate content reflects the latest features and capabilities</li><li>
This role may require occasional night or weekend work to meet critical submission deadlines</li></ul>
Requirements:

Work Experience and Knowledge:<ul><li>
Experience working for a software development/information technology organization desired</li><li>
Experience with state and local government proposals preferred</li><li>
Effectively collaborate with others to establish good working relationships within the team</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently</li><li>
Manages time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently</li><li>
Meets demanding deadlines in a timely manner
</li><li>Maintains stable performance under pressure or opposition, such as time pressure or unexpected challenges</li><li>
Demonstrate a strong work ethic through consistent attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and commitment</li></ul>
Credentials and Experience:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in English, Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field</li><li>
Minimum 3 years of successful proposal experience, preferably in government or the software/technology sector.</li><li>
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)</li><li>
Understanding of proposal techniques (i.e. layout, graphics, strategy-to-win)</li></ul>
