Pay Range - The Lead position pay is based on credentials and experience, starting at $25/hr.

We are seeking a Part-Time Music Specialist to bring rhythm, movement, and a whole lot of joy to our preschoolers across several campuses. 
Details
Position: Music Specialist (Part-Time) 
Schedule: Monday&ndash;Friday, 9:30 AM&ndash;1:00 PM 
Campuses: Apple Ridge/Gaithersburg, Darnestown, North Potomac, and Greenwood/Hyattsville 
As our new Music Specialist, you&rsquo;ll:<ul><li>
Lead playful, engaging music enrichment sessions for preschool students</li><li>
Introduce children to rhythm, instruments, songs, and creative movement</li><li>
Spread positivity (and catchy tunes!) across our campuses</li><li>
Partner with teachers to help make each classroom sing&mdash;literally</li></ul> 
This role is mornings only (9:30 AM&ndash;1:00 PM), Monday&ndash;Friday, making it a great option for someone looking to add a creative specialty to their schedule. There may also be opportunities to grow into a full-time position. 
Because you&rsquo;ll be visiting multiple Georgetown Hill locations, you&rsquo;ll need reliable transportation&mdash;and a playlist for the drive doesn&rsquo;t hurt. Travel to the following locations is required:<ul><li>
Apple Ridge/Gaithersburg - Tucked into the Montgomery Village neighborhoods, our campus serves upper Montgomery County; Germantown, Gaithersburg, Clarksburg, and Goshen areas.</li><li>
Darnestown - This beautiful campus is located right in the heart of Darnestown on Route 28, convenient to Gaithersburg, Germantown, Kentlands, and North Potomac</li><li>
North Potomac - Our campus is just down from the intersection of Route 28 and Muddy Branch Road. Conveniently located close to RIO, Downtown Crown, Kentlands, and more</li><li>
Greenwood/Hyattsville - Our campus is an approved private school and NAEYC-accredited. Serving both federal employees and the surrounding community. Located next door to PG Plaza (Metro Accessible)</li></ul>

Qualifications
The minimum requirements for Music Specialists in our preschool program are the MSDE 90hr Preschool Certification or a CDA with the preschool endorsement. 
Our ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience teaching music to preschool children, and the following:<ul><li>
Proficiency in at least one instrument</li><li>
Comfortable singing in front of groups of children and teachers</li><li>
The ability to manage the physical demands of a preschool setting. This includes but is not limited to: sitting on the floor, getting up quickly from the floor, lifting up to 40 pounds, reaching and lifting above your head, etc.</li><li>
MSDE 90hr certification or CDA certification with Preschool endorsement preferred</li><li>
Reliable transportation (this position requires local travel)</li><li>
Understanding of the principles of child development and teaching methods</li><li>
A personal demeanor that is warm, friendly, and cool-tempered</li><li>
Extremely reliable in attendance and punctuality</li><li>
Organized and able to prioritize and multi-task</li><li>
Team-oriented and willing to work with others</li></ul> 
Per Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must submit to and successfully pass a state and federal background check as a contingency of employment. Applicants for our federal center campuses must receive GSA-security clearance through a government background screening. 
The pay range for this role is: 
25 - 30 USD per hour(Apple Ridge) 
25 - 30 USD per hour(Darnestown) 
25 - 30 USD per hour(North Potomac) 
25 - 30 USD per hour(Greenwood)</div>
