Clinical Research Nurse, CTSA/Clinical Research Unit - Georgetown University.</div><div></div><div>
The Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) provides expert, independent care to patients in clinical research and standard-of care settings, with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards. As an essential member of a multidisciplinary team, this role demands a proactive nurse dedicated to advancing research while upholding excellence in patient care and regulatory integrity. Additional Duties include but are not limited to:</div><ul><li><div>
Lead study coordination as the primary liaison, ensuring seamless study implementation, protocol adherence and regulatory compliance</div></li><li><div>
Deliver direct patient care to research participants and standard-of-care patients across various health conditions and age groups within the CRU, clinical and other community settings as required</div></li><li><div>
Collect and manage specimens and clinical data in accordance with study protocols</div></li><li><div>
Educate and advocate for research participants, ensuring informed consent and adherence to ethical guidelines.</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize research execution and patient care</div></li><li><div>
Maintain expertise in safety regulations and compliance with institutional, federal, and local research guidelines</div></li><li><div>

Work Interactions</div><div></div><div>
The Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) collaborates with nursing staff, Clinical Research Coordinators, Study Coordinators, Investigators and Clinicians to ensure seamless protocol implementation on the CRU. Serving as a key liaison, the CRN ensures studies are conducted per protocol while also providing standard care to non-research patients. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable District of Columbia and federal laws, as well as Georgetown University&rsquo;s policies and standards.</div><div></div><div>
Key interactions include:</div><ul><li><div>
 Educating CRU staff and collaborating institutions on assigned study protocols.</div></li><li><div>
 Communicating critical patient status updates and treatment responses with multidisciplinary teams. &bull; Engaging with healthcare professionals across the hospital system, CTSA partner institutions, and the community to support research integrity and patient care.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Requirements and Qualifications</div><ul><li><div>
Needs to possess the ability to adapt to changing patient care needs that are driven by the research environment on the CRU and offsite settings</div></li><li><div>
Eager to learn and quickly master new procedures and technology</div></li><li><div>
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher is required</div></li><li><div>
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.</div></li><li><div>
Minimum of three (3) years in nursing, preferably in acute care; research experience preferred.</div></li><li><div>
BCLS required; ACLS preferred.</div></li><li><div>
Clinical Skills: Strong nursing foundation, including phlebotomy, IV placement, and patient assessment</div></li><li><div>
Chemotherapy certification is beneficial</div></li><li><div>

 The AVP, P2P is responsible for the acquisition of all goods and services, leading a team of professionals across purchasing, contract management, strategic sourcing, travel, vendor management, Accounts Payable (AP), and payables technology systems. The AVP will develop and execute a strategic vision that drives efficiency, optimizes cost savings, and improves customer satisfaction. Key duties include:

   Leading and mentoring high-performing, multimodal teams.

   Providing strategic direction for all procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, and contract negotiation.

   Serving as the business owner for all P2P systems (e.g., GMS and AppZen), driving continuous system and process enhancements.

   Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related area.

   8 &ndash; 13 years of progressively responsible, related experience in Procurement, Accounts Payable, and/or Financial Management.

   Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/managerial experience leading professional staff and managing organizational change.
  </li>
  <li>
   Demonstrated advanced experience in drafting, negotiating, and administering complex business contracts.
  </li>
  <li>
   Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, developing, and coordinating RFXs, contracts, and agreements for a multi-functional organization.
  </li>
  <li>
   Advanced knowledge and demonstrated ability with managing contemporary procurement systems and processes in a large organization (e.g., Workday, or Banner).
  </li>
  <li>
   Thorough knowledge of the principles of general procurement practices, business and contract law, and federal procurement regulations and guidance.
  </li>
  <li>
   Exceptional management skills to lead and develop a large department, including performance management, team building, and conflict resolution.
  </li>
  <li>
   Demonstrated ability to conduct complex analyses, formulate objective conclusions, and utilize data extraction and analytical tools (e.g., Google Suite) for operational decision-making.
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong knowledge of financial principles, internal controls, and fiduciary responsibility in managing budgetary resources.
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent knowledge and experience with procurement interrelationships between all stakeholders: requestors, administrative functions, buying, receiving, disbursements, and suppliers.
  </li>
  <li>
   Demonstrated strong and effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to negotiate with vendors and gain cooperation from diverse stakeholders.
