Georgia Dermatopathology is looking for an experienced Laboratory Assistant in Savannah, GA! We are looking to add valuable candidates to our growing team!Applicants must be able to work both independently and as a team and maintain a positive attitude at all times.​Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist with all laboratory functions</li><li>Accurate medical record keeping and documentation</li><li>General cleanliness of work space before and after each work day</li><li>Maintain compliance with CLIA &amp; QA/AC guidelines</li><li>Prioritize, maintain &amp; organize high-volume, high-quality sectioning &amp; staining both frozen and parrafin embedded sections.</li></ul>​Qualifications:<ul><li>Excellent customer service skills</li><li>Appropriate knowledge of medical terminology</li><li>Detail oriented and organized</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, medical transcription and basic office skills</li><li>Two years of laboratory experience is required (administrative or clinical)</li><li>Experience in Pathology / Dermatology / Plastic Surgery is preferred</li></ul>Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that may need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.<ul><li>Requires work at a computer while standing or sitting (30 &ndash; 80% of the day).</li><li>Requires some bending, stooping and stretching.</li><li>Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.</li><li>Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriately.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $18.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Medical Specialty:<ul><li>Pathology</li></ul>Work Location: In person
