The Prosperity Plywood team has an opening for a ROLE BASED TRAINER in each of our 4 departments (Greenend, Dryers, Glueline, F&amp;S). To make our plant successful, we must find ways to help today's workforce understand our work processes and find fulfillment in our organization. To do this, we must improve the new hire experience after orientation and help employees find a sense of camaraderie. We need Role Based Trainers who care about our community, the facility, and the longevity of employment here in Prosperity.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Role-Based Trainer to join our team at GP in Prosperity SC. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of new hires and existing employees, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed. This role requires a thorough understanding of the equipment and processes specific to a designated department within the plant. You must be flexible in your schedule to work both night and day shifts as needed.

What You Will Do<ul><li>
Facilitate hands-on training for new hires and existing employees in the Department.
</li><li>Assist in developing and implementing effective training materials, programs, and schedules.
</li><li>Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the department's equipment, processes, and safety standards.
</li><li>Monitor employee progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
</li><li>Collaborate with supervisors and managers to identify training needs and address skill gaps.
</li><li>Ensure compliance with all safety standards and manufacturing protocols during training sessions.
</li><li>Maintain accurate training records and provide regular updates to management.
</li><li>Passion for teaching, coaching, and developing others in a manufacturing environment.
</li><li>Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to diverse learning styles.
</li></ul>Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)<ul><li>
Six (6) or more months of previous experience as a teacher/ trainer or mentor
</li></ul>What Will Put You Ahead<ul><li>
Previous experience as a trainer or mentor in a manufacturing environment.
</li><li>Strong knowledge of equipment and processes within a plywood manufacturing plant.
</li><li>Previous experience troubleshooting equipment issues and explaining corrective measures.

Role Based Trainer - Prosperity Plywood

<div>Your Job
Georgia-Pacific is now hiring for Production Workers for our Madison Plywood facility! We manufacture pine plywood panels and siding that are ideal for residential and light commercial construction like subflooring, wall and roof sheathing, and concrete formwork.
Plywood is a strong, versatile product made by gluing together thin layers (veneers) of wood with the grain of each layer running in opposite directions. This cross-graining makes it stable, durable, and resistant to warping.
Salary:<ul><li>Starting pay is $20 per hour
</li><li>There is a $2 shift differential for night shift
</li><li>You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.</li></ul>
Shift: 
<ul><li>
Only candidates who are flexible to be assigned to work any shift will be considered.
</li><li>Our employees work 12-hours shifts following a 2-2-3 schedule. Days 7am - 7pm Nights 7pm -7am; Finishing and Green end Departments 4 - 2- 4 schedule.</li><li>
Candidates must be flexible and available to work days or nights as needed. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends.
</li><li>Currently hiring for day shift and night shift.
</li><li>Orientation will be on Day Shift 8am - 4pm Monday through Friday, and you will be assigned your permanent shift after your orientation.
</li><li>Madison, GA operates on a points-based attendance program.

What You Will Do 
<ul><li>
Learn to operate various machines throughout the mill</li><li>
Adjust to changing work schedules to meet business demands</li><li>
Remove sawdust and other debris from production equipment
</li><li>Assemble veneer cores by layering sheets according to specified patterns and project requirements.
</li><li>Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures while proactively seeking out potential safety hazards, including wearing safety equipment</li><li>
Assist team members throughout the mill as needed</li><li>
Pull and lift plywood, panels, or scraps that could be up to 25 lbs
</li><li>Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours/day</li><li>
Walk on elevated catwalks over 15 feet high to perform daily duties</li><li>
Work in a hot, humid, dusty, cold and noisy high-volume environment industrial environment</li><li>
Work 10-12 hour rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays</li></ul>
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) 
<ul><li>
Experience in at least ONE of the following areas: manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, construction, landscaping, automotive OR military environment OR completion of post high school education in manufacturing/industrial</li></ul> 

What Will Put You Ahead<ul><li>Two (2) years or more of experience in a manufacturing, military, industrial, farming, agriculture, landscaping, carpentry, mechanical, or construction environment</li><li>Experience driving and operating a forklift</li><li>Experience working in wood products</li></ul>
Physical Requirements:
