An international law firm currently has an excellent full-time employment opportunity in the German Corporate Practice Group of its Atlanta office. The position offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.SUMMARYThis position performs a broad range of administrative and clerical support for several partners, associates and/or paralegals in the German Corporate Practice Group. Demonstrates the ability to partner with assigned lawyers and paralegals in the effective and efficient support of the practice group.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Creates, transcribes, revises and maintains legal documents and correspondence. Makes edits to documents, spreadsheets, and letters on a regular basis;</li><li>Screening telephone calls, serving as liaison between attorneys and others inside and outside firm, providing professional and courteous customer service to all;</li><li>Opening, stamping, and sorting mail, and noting dates for calendar;</li><li>Retrieving files and documents;</li><li>Entering attorney time into time system;</li><li>Handling administrative matters for attorneys/paralegals/supervisors and ensuring compliance with firm procedures, including preparing conflict checks, receiving reports, initiating follow up, opening files, reviewing and revising client billing prepared by accounting department, answering questions of accounting or other departments;</li><li>Copying documents and/or coordinating office assistance with administrative and clerical functions;</li><li>Filing all materials and documents promptly, boxing and closing of files as needed;</li><li>Maintaining filing system, contact list, and calendar;</li><li>Coordinating attorneys' schedules and making travel arrangements;</li><li>Preparing expense reports, and completing other administrative forms;</li><li>Scheduling appointments and scheduling/coordinating necessary resources such as conference rooms, with vendors, office services and other departments;</li><li>Preparing and assembling error-free final documents and ensuring timely delivery of same to all recipients via mail, overnight service, courier, etc.;</li><li>Assisting with internal meetings and meetings with clients, guests and others;</li><li>Finding factual information on the Internet as directed;</li><li>Providing assistance to others in office whenever requested based on priorities of current work in-hand, promoting teamwork and mutual cooperation among all staff members;</li><li>Other duties or special projects as requested or assigned.</li></ul>SKILLS<ul><li>Ability to type at least 70 wpm without error;</li><li>High level of proficiency in MS Office and iManage</li><li>Knowledge of relevant legal terminology;</li><li>Knowledge of the procedures for establishing and maintaining legal and other records and files;</li><li>Ability to gain confidence and trust of attorneys and staff and work well with others;</li><li>Strong grammar, excellent proofreading skills, and attention to detail.</li><li>Requires strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Excellent planning and organizational skills;</li><li>Professional demeanor and detail orientated.</li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Three to five years of legal support experience, preferably in a law firm</li><li>Fluency in German (native or near-native proficiency strongly preferred)</li><li>Strong proficiency in oral and written German with ability to perform accurate dictation.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Three to five years of legal support experience, preferably in a law firm</li><li>Fluency in German (native or near-native proficiency strongly preferred)</li><li>Strong proficiency in oral and written German with ability to perform accurate dictation.</li></ul>TO ALL APPLICANTSThank you very much for your interest.
