Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Preparing driver schedules, approving time off requests, discipline, and attendance issues</li>
<li>Daily dispatch of drivers and assigning all equipment needed for the day</li>
<li>Route recommendations for maximum efficiencies</li>
<li>Directly supervise drivers and yard spotters on all facets of compliance with DOT and safe driving compliance.</li>
<li>Hands on management such as ride-a longs for coaching and training as needed. Safety of our fleet, drivers, and the public.</li>
<li>Communicate service issues to sales, customer service, and Operations team</li>
<li>Works closely with Dispatch personnel and Director of transportation to provide best-in-class delivery expectations.</li>
<li>Coordinates with Operations to ensure customer and driver needs are met.</li>
<li>Participate in the hiring of Drivers: interviews, road tests, paperwork.</li>
<li>Participate in Safety investigations, review and reporting with root-cause analysis.</li>
<li>Review performance and service levels with customers on delivery experience.</li>
<li>Good understanding of samsara software system and ability to navigate, through samsara.</li>
<li>Have a good working understanding of the CBA, (collective bargaining agreement)</li>
</ul>
 Competencies, Education, and Skills:
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in Transportation or Warehousing experience in a refrigerated food manufacturing or distributor operation preferred</li>
<li>A minimum of a high school or GED or an associate&rsquo;s degree in related field preferred</li>
<li>At least 2+ years of experience in transportation with at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity</li>
<li>Knowledge of driver safety and DOT compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Proficient skills in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common E Mail systems</li>
<li>Class CDL A or B is a plus</li>
<li>Must be able to read, speak, and write English satisfactorily, bilingual a plus</li>
<li>Works independently of constant direction but able to follow directions willingly and accurately</li>
<li>Strong relationship and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Innovative and creative thinking</li>
<li>Change management and continuous improvement focus and skills</li>
<li>Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies</li>

Physical Demands:
<ul>
<li>Stand or sit for long periods of time</li>
<li>Travel by as needed</li>
<li>Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time</li>
</ul>
 Compensation:
<ul><li>
$75,000 - $85,000/Year</li></ul>

 Work Schedule:
<ul>
<li>Sunday - Friday (Off on Saturday and another night tbd)</li>
<li>Must be available to work on holidays</li>
<li>Start time: 8:00 pm</li>
