We partner with providers, health systems, and public-health organizations to deliver accessible, high-quality oral health at scale.Role OverviewThe Operations Specialist/Manager plays a central role in ensuring Grin&rsquo;s physical products&mdash;from established devices to new product introductions&mdash;are planned, manufactured, and delivered with excellence. This position is both strategic and highly hands-on, overseeing the full product operations lifecycle: supply chain planning, NPI execution, manufacturing oversight, inventory control, and last-mile fulfillment through our 3PL network.You will collaborate across Engineering, Product, Regulatory, Finance, Customer Success, and external manufacturing partners to ensure operational alignment and on-time delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain, Inventory &amp; Fulfillment<ul><li>Manage day-to-day inventory levels, stock accuracy, re-order points, and product availability.</li><li>Oversee 3PL operations including receiving, storage, pick/pack, shipping, and returns processing.</li><li>Monitor and optimize last-mile fulfillment and shipping service performance.</li><li>Implement scalable processes for demand planning and replenishment.</li></ul>Manufacturing &amp; Vendor Management<ul><li>Manage manufacturing partners and component suppliers, including scheduling, quality checks, compliance documentation, and issue resolution.</li><li>Ensure alignment with ISO 13485 and relevant medical-device manufacturing standards.</li><li>Monitor run-rates, MOQs, lead times, yields, and cost-of-goods metrics.</li></ul>New Product Introduction (NPI) / Rapid Manufacturing<ul><li>Drive end-to-end NPI activities, including DFM/DFS coordination, pilot builds, tooling readiness, packaging development, and production ramp-up.</li><li>Support rapid manufacturing activities for prototypes, small batches, and tooling iterations.</li><li>Manage all operational aspects of bringing new devices (e.g., Grin Scope LG variants) from concept to commercial launch.</li><li>Maintain operational documentation: BOMs, ECOs, packaging specs, labeling requirements, and assembly procedures.</li></ul>Quality, Compliance &amp; Cross-Functional Support<ul><li>Ensure operational compliance with FDA device requirements, ISO 13485 practices, and internal QMS processes.</li><li>Collaborate with Regulatory, QA, and Engineering to maintain DHF/DMR documentation and support audits when needed.</li><li>Provide cross-functional operational support to Customer Success, Finance, and Product teams.</li><li>Support post-market surveillance, field quality investigations, and CAPA activities as needed.</li></ul>Skills &amp; QualificationsRequired<ul><li>3&ndash;7+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or related field&mdash;preferably in medical devices, healthtech hardware, or regulated consumer hardware.</li><li>Working knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA Class I/II device frameworks, DHF/DMR practices, and basic QMS processes.</li><li>Experience managing external manufacturing vendors, tooling vendors, and component suppliers.</li><li>Experience managing 3PL operations and national/international fulfillment.</li><li>Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills.</li><li>Ability to balance strategic planning with tactical day-to-day execution.</li><li>Proficient with inventory management tools, ERP systems, or operations platforms.</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Experience with rapid manufacturing, prototyping, and tooling development.</li><li>Background in small, fast-paced startups or medical device scale-ups.</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking ForA proactive, detail-driven operator who thrives in ambiguity, takes strong ownership, and enjoys solving problems across the entire physical product lifecycle&mdash;from early manufacturing to a customer&rsquo;s doorstep.
