Sustainability, Legal &amp; Compliance (SLC) is a newly established department in Getinge, and is comprised of the following functions: Sustainability, Ethics &amp; Compliance, Digitization &amp; IPR, Corporate Legal, Global Commercial Legal.</p>
<p>
Legal has a vital role in enabling and supporting Getinge and its leaders in managing legal and conduct risk in how business is done, creating a business environment which embeds responsibility for business ethics and law into daily operations, ensuring better control and predictability for the business on a global scale, as well as creating a sustainable and responsible business.</p>
<p>
Legal also plays a vital role in supporting the business on a global, regional and local level with contractual arrangements, negotiations, risk evaluation and general day-to-day legal support.<br>
Getinge has operations in 68 locations in MEA through its channel partners.</p><br>

<p><b>
Summary of the Job:</b></p>
<p>
This is a senior legal role within the global commercial legal team. As the Senior Legal Officer MENA, you will report to the Head of Legal CEE &amp; MEA and will be providing high quality, strategic and practical legal advice, guidance and support for Getinge's business in the MENA region.</p>
<p>
The role involves closely collaborating with the MENA sales and service organization (SSU) and Business Area (BA) entities, as well as working closely with the global business/product areas, global sales and service, corporate and group functions. You will also partner closely with the overall global Ethics &amp; Compliance and sustainability team.</p>
<p>
The key responsibilities will include providing practical legal counsel to the two regional SSUs and BA teams, coordinating and ensuring high quality legal support across the MENA region, collaborating closely with the Head of Legal CEE &amp; MEA and the global legal team, partnering with the Ethics &amp; Compliance and sustainability teams to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations, contributing legal expertise and insights to MENA business.</p>

<p><b>
Job Functions: (Primary &quot;essential&quot; duties and responsibilities)</b></p>
<p><b>
Responsible for:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Providing hands-on legal support for the general corporate affairs of Getinge's legal entities and operations in the MENA region, including governance-related matters.</li>
<li>Managing relevant contracts with customers and suppliers, contractors, distributors and agents, service providers, software/technology providers, other internal corporate entities, etc.</li>
<li>Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of agreements.</li>
<li>In cooperation with the global commercial legal team, drafting, revising and implementing contract templates for various transactions and supporting the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.</li>
</ul><ul><li>In collaboration with the global legal team, implement contract management administration.</li>
<li>Identifying and advising on legal, policy and regulatory risks and the legal liabilities associated with the MENA business in general as well as in specific transactions.</li>
<li>Collaborating with the Ethics &amp; Compliance team, e.g., supporting implementation of MENA policies and directives and MENA governance structures.</li>
<li>Conducting training for various legal and compliance-related topics as relevant.</li>
<li>Keeping abreast of legal and compliance issues that could impact the MENA organization.</li>
<li>Performing other related duties and special projects as required.</li>
</ul>
<p></p><p><b>Required Skills and Abilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong sense of business ethics.</li>

<li>Finished Law degree.</li>
<li>At least 5 years of legal experience.</li>
<li>Experience with close working relationship with E&amp;C teams.</li>
<li>Experience working in the Middle East, Africa, and Central &amp; Eastern European markets.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is essential.</li>

<li>As part of the global Legal team, the Legal counsel in India , will be providing high quality, strategic and practical legal advice, guidance and support for Getinge&rsquo;s business in India. The intention is that the function will be part of the leadership team of the SSU/BA (if any) in India but also involves close collaboration with the global business/product areas, global sales and service, corporate and group functions, as well as most importantly, other in-house counsels and the overall global SLC team.</li>

<div><b>Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties</b></div>

Responsible for:</div>

<li>Providing hands-on legal support for the general corporate, governance, business, HR, finance, commercial affairs of Getinge's legal entities and operations in India.<br>
Identifying and advising on legal and regulatory risks and the legal liabilities associated with the regional business in general as well in specific transactions [Managing relevant contracts with<br>
customers and suppliers, contractors, distributors and agents, service providers, software/technology providers, other internal corporate entities, etc.]</li>
<li>Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of agreements, such as product and service supply or purchase agreements, tender documents, distribution agreements, agency agreements, licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements, healthcare provider engagement agreements, training agreements, focus group agreements, clinical trial agreements, grant agreements, as well as, other types of agreements involving transactions of various departments.</li>
<li>In cooperation with the global legal and regional team, drafting and revising contract templates for various transactions, and support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.</li>
<li>Implement relevant parts of global processes and procedures for documentation flow, approvals and reporting consistent with internal processes.</li>
<li>Conducting training for various legal topics.</li>
<li>Keeping abreast of applicable laws and regulations. Keeping abreast of legal issues that could impact the Indian organization.</li>
<li>Manage the litigation and disputes.</li>
<li>Performing other related duties and special projects as required.</li>

<div><b>Minimum Requirements</b></div>
<ul>
<li>At least 7 years of legal experience from a reputable law firm and/or an in-house legal function of a multinational company within the Life Science/Medical Device/Pharma sector, or other relevant business facing the equivalent commercial and regulatory concerns. At least 5 years of experience should be from work in-house and in compliance work in a multinational company.</li>
<li>Experience from working with or in an international operations and foreign owners</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is essential.</li>
<li>Law degree.</li><br>
