<div>This opportunity is a paid internship taking place from May through December in New York City and the surrounding area.</div>

<div><b>Your Next Challenge:</b></div>
<div></div>
<div>We are offering a eight-month long opportunity to become a member of Getty Images&rsquo; editorial sport team and to train on all facets of the editorial imagery business, including but not limited to:</div>
<ul><li>Capturing editorial content (photography and videography) from various assignments including baseball, football, basketball, hockey, and more.</li>
<li>Scheduling events and meeting client needs</li>
<li>Field photo editing</li>
<li>Editorial video workflow and technique
</li><li>Major event production and technology</li>
<li>Solo assignments as well as group assignments with editing support</li>
</ul><div>You will join a team of highly collaborative and talented photographers, videographers and editors who are comfortable working with a variety of tools and willing to take initiative on their ideas.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Some of the learning objectives of the Internship are as follows:</div>
<ul><li>Access, exposure to, and collaboration with some of the world's leading sports photography professionals</li>
<li>Training in our proprietary workflow software as well as industry standard tools for editing and transmitting photography on deadline</li>
<li>Observe and practice live content capture, editing, production, distribution and asset management of stills and footage</li>
<li>Broaden understanding of the relationship between capture and production of content, coverage of a sporting event, and the differences in distribution and licensing editorial content and paid content</li>
<li>We value learning and development; you will be given every opportunity to work on projects that excite you.</li>
</ul>

</b></div><ul><li>We recognize that the barriers to entry to professional photography are high. We have created an opportunity where eager and enthusiastic photographers are supported, regardless of current equipment status.</li>
<li>We ask you are comfortable and open to working with a team of photographers and editors, and that you take direction and feedback well.</li>
<li>You understand, or have interest in learning, Adobe Photoshop and other content management tools as well as proprietary workflow solutions.</li>
<li>You must be available to work nights and weekends.</li>
<li>You must have the ability to travel, domestically and internationally, at times. This includes a valid passport.</li>
<li>We will provide you with a full Canon kit for the duration of your internship (e.g., camera, accessories, laptop).</li>

In general, Getty Images is looking for a keen eye, passion, and variety in your portfolio that demonstrates all aspects of photography with videography as a bonus, but not required. We do not expect applicants to have previous professional sports event experience, but familiarity with professional sport events and culture certainly helps.</div>

You will have professional content to use in your portfolio and will have the opportunity to continue with Getty Images as a contributing freelance photographer.</div>

You are a professional with under 3 years of experience who is passionate about storytelling through photography. You are interested in working with some of the most recognized news photographers and editors in the industry and want to pursue a career in the field.</div>
<div><br>
This opportunity is a paid eight month internship taking place from May 2026 through December 2026 in our Washington DC bureau.</div>
<div><br>
We recognize that the barriers to entry to professional photography are high therefore we have created an opportunity where enthusiastic and committed photographers are supported.</div>
<div><br>
Regardless of current equipment status, we will provide you with a full Canon kit for the duration of your internship (e.g., camera, accessories, lenses) as well as a laptop, mifi and iPhone.</div>
