Role OverviewRebar Drawing Designer (Rebar Detailer / Rebar Draftsman)Experienced professional responsible for creating Detailed Reinforcement (rebar) drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) based on structural and construction drawings. You will translate the structural engineer&rsquo;s design intent into precise fabrication and installation information for the construction site and rebar fabrication shop.2. Main Responsibilities<ul><li>Interpret structural drawings: Study reinforced concrete structures (columns, beams, slabs, foundations, walls, etc.) and identify reinforcement details.</li><li>Prepare rebar shop drawings: Develop accurate 2D or 3D rebar placement drawings showing bar sizes, spacing, laps, bends, and anchorage.</li><li>Generate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS): Calculate exact bar lengths, shapes, quantities, and weights for fabrication and procurement.</li><li>Optimize designs: Adjust bar layouts to reduce material waste and improve constructability while ensuring compliance with codes.</li><li>Coordinate with engineers and stakeholders: Work closely with structural engineers, architects, and site teams to resolve design conflicts.</li><li>Ensure compliance: Follow relevant international and local standards (e.g., BS 8666, ACI 315, ISO 3766, GB50010).</li></ul>3. Common Software Tools<ul><li>AutoCAD &ndash; for 2D rebar shop drawings</li><li>Tekla Structures / Revit / CADS RC / Allplan / SFCAD &ndash; for 3D rebar modeling</li><li>Microsoft Excel &ndash; for BBS calculations and summaries</li></ul>4. Deliverables<ul><li>Rebar shop drawings (PDF / CAD format)</li><li>Bar Bending Schedules (Excel or table format)</li><li>Rebar quantity take-off and summary reports</li><li>Revision and as-built rebar drawings</li></ul>5.
