Job Summary

The Warehouse Trainer plays a critical role in onboarding, educating, and developing warehouse personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This position is responsible for delivering hands-on training, reinforcing operational standards, and supporting continuous improvement across day and night shifts (12-hour rotations).

Training Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Conducts onboarding and orientation for new warehouse employees.</li>
<li>Delivers structured training on equipment use, safety protocols, and warehouse procedures.</li>
<li>Supports cross-training initiatives to build team versatility and operational resilience.</li>
<li>Assists in evaluating trainee performance and providing constructive feedback.</li>
<li>Collaborate with supervisors to identify training needs and skill gaps.</li>
</ul>
&#65039; Operational Duties
<ul>
<li>Ensures training materials and equipment are available and functional.</li>
<li>This leads to safety demonstrations and daily equipment checks (e.g., forklifts, tuggers, trailers).</li>
<li>Verifies trainees&rsquo; understanding of quality standards and delivery protocols.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate training records and documentation.</li>
<li>Communicates updates on policies, procedures, and performance expectations.</li>
<li>Participate in continuous improvement efforts and share feedback from trainees.</li>
<li>Supports conflict resolution by reinforcing communication and teamwork principles.</li>
<li>May assist with equipment requests and operational audits.</li>
</ul>

<li>Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.</li>
<li>Clear and confident verbal and written communication.</li>
<li>Ability to motivate and engage learners across experience levels.</li>
<li>Conflict resolution and team-building capabilities.</li>
<li>Organizational skills for managing training schedules and documentation.</li>
<li>Familiarity with warehouse documentation (e.g., inventory logs, delivery slips).</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety and operational procedures.</li>
</ul>
Education &amp; Experience
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years of warehouse or logistics experience.</li>
<li>Prior experience in training, mentoring, or instructional roles is a plus.</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements
<ul>
<li>Active presence on the warehouse floor (standing, walking).</li>
<li>Ability to lift 25&ndash;30 pounds as needed.</li>
<li>Regular participation in safety walks and equipment inspections.</li>
</ul>
