 The Electrical Inspector will assist the Electrical Engineer, MEP Lead or Resident Engineer in administering the operational functions of the day-to-day activities on the project. The Inspector will participate in review and approval of all submittals by the contractors and involves in the quality control and quality assurance.
 
 
 Under the supervision of the Resident Engineer or MEP Lead, performs routine inspection monitoring tasks to confirm if proper construction supervision is being performed by others. Inspects various facets of work on the construction site and performs continuous surveillance of assigned construction activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.  We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to provide support and assistance to the Resident Engineer and oversee processes associated with the contruction stages of the project.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Review drawings, reports, specifications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review submittals, revert with comments, ensure comments are addressed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Respond to RFIs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend meetings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with relevant team members to ensure all documents are properly controlled.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review materials and propose alternatives/recommendations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review variations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Apply knowledge of Engineering Principles and able to design using all common building materials.
 </li>
 <li>
 Report writing and documentation skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Processing construction documentation such as, responding to RFI&rsquo;s and commenting on engineering submittals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review engineering designs and provide input on their suitability. Advise on changes if required during the engineering phase.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to designs produced by GHD to ensure the contractor has a well-coordinated set of drawings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures are followed during project execution.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proactively collaborate with other members of the team to deliver innovative and balanced best value solutions that meet the Client&rsquo;s requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist Project Managers in monitoring and driving progress.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage BIM technicians and mentoring graduate engineers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Can undertake structural inspections and report on material and construction defects and provide guidance for remedial repairs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Any other relevant duties as assigned by Line Manager/RE/PM.
 </li>
 <li>
 External Communications: Help others get the most out of external communications systems by offering support and advice.
 </li>
 <li>
 Construction Management: Supervise others on a construction project, working within established operational systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work Scheduling and Allocation: Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Leadership and Direction: Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan and to the broader organization's mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performance Management: Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance; or monitor the performance of the team, allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality, and contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.
 </li>
 <li>
 Organizational Capability Building: Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Quality Assurance: Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes. Implement corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives and monitor them to make sure they are effective.
 </li>
 <li>
 Operational Compliance: Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
 </li>
 <li>
 Client &amp; Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems.

 Education

 Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level

 Experience

 General Experience: Experience enables job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others (Over 3 years to 6 years)

 Managerial Experience: Experience of general supervision of more junior colleagues (7 to 12 months)
