Finance manager duties and responsibilitiesThe finance manager holds authority over decisions of income, costs, payroll and investments.Some of their day-to-day duties and responsibilities include:<ul><li>Using advanced financial analyses and modelling to simulate economic scenarios and determine the present and future financial condition of the company</li><li>Researching and reporting on factors that influence the company&rsquo;s performance and analysing and predicting market trends</li><li>Developing financial management strategies to reduce financial risk, providing relevant recommendations to maximise profits and assisting executives in decision-making</li><li>Monitoring reporting systems, preparing accurate financial reports and statements, interpreting data, preparing and publishing all financial documents and ensuring adherence to industry regulations</li><li>Managing accounting, budget, cash flow and reviewing cost-reduction strategies</li><li>Developing long-term and strategic business plans and organising new funding strategies</li><li>Developing external relationships with auditors, solicitors, bankers and other statutory organisations.</li><li>Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.</li><li>Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take</li><li>Maintain the financial health of the organization.</li><li>Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company&rsquo;s actual performance compared to the business plans.</li><li>Develop trends and projections for the firm&rsquo;s finances.</li><li>Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.</li><li>Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.</li><li>Manage the preparation of the company&rsquo;s budget.</li><li>Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.</li><li>Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.</li><li>Requirements and skills</li><li>Proven experience as a Financial Manager</li><li>Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst</li><li>Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns</li><li>Proficient user of finance software</li><li>Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills</li><li>Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used</li><li>A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles</li><li>Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations</li><li>BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics</li><li>Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus</li></ul>Work Location: In person

Overview We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in various logistics management systems.Duties<ul><li>Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring optimal routing and scheduling of deliveries.</li><li>Utilise transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor supply chain activities.</li><li>Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to facilitate seamless shipping and receiving processes.</li><li>Conduct data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records of shipments and inventory.</li><li>Perform analysis on logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.</li><li>Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and suppliers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise.</li><li>Maintain phone etiquette while handling inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.</li><li>Assist in the training of new staff on systems such as AS400 and SyteLine as needed.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in logistics or dispatching roles is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with transportation management systems and supply chain processes is essential.</li><li>Strong analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.</li><li>Proficient in data entry with a high typing speed and accuracy.</li><li>Knowledge of shipping &amp; receiving procedures is advantageous.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
