Talent Acquisition Specialist

 Job Summary

 The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in partnering and collaborating with departments across the business with all financial and technical operations as well as with the FP&amp;A team and regional operations team of the group.

 To undertake a key financial and advisory role contributing to the effective and timely compilation and discharge of departmental and company internal and external financial reporting requirements.

 Primary Duties
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Prepare, analyze and report annual budget and quarterly forecast under IFRS 4 and IFRS 17 for all lines of business, distribution channels and products.
 </li>

 Prepare and analyze the LRP (Long-Range Plan) as a part of the budgeting process
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in the migration of the ERP system for Budget modules, including the design and development of new models
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools in coordination with the regional operations and other group companies FP&amp;A teams.

 <li>
 Create monthly reporting packages and prepare MOR (Monthly Operating Report) covering analysis vs. budget and prior year
 </li>
 <li>
 Work closely with the accounting team and other related departments on monthly variance explanations and KPI&rsquo;s analysis vs. budget and prior year.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to preparation of quarterly financial disclosures in compliance with IFRS 4 and IFRS 17 as needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare QAR (Quarterly Analysis Report) for group requirements
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and execute ad-hoc financial analyses, scenario planning, and what-if analysis as required by management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Suggest actions to improve performance by evaluating business results and company KPIs through analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analysis.
 </li>

 Assist the group&rsquo;s FP&amp;A activities as and when required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in any other duties assigned by management as and when required.

 Qualification &amp; Experience

 Minimum of Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Finance or Accounting or Finance from a recognized university

 CFA or equivalent qualification is a plus

 Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Insurance industry

 Advanced Excel, Modeling, Data Manipulation, Power Point experience

 Oversee all corporate accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

 Lead the preparation and timely delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS 17, ensuring full compliance with the standard's requirements for insurance contract measurement and presentation.

 Manage the preparation of local statutory financial statements and regulatory filings for the Central Bank of Kuwait and Ministry of Commerce and Industry as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate and lead the development and maintenance of actuarial and accounting data flows necessary for IFRS 17 calculations, working closely with the actuarial team.

 Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors for the annual financial and statutory audits.

 Minimum of 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated experience working in the insurance industry&mdash;either directly within an insurance company or as a key team member on insurance audit/consulting engagements at a Big Four firm. Deep, hands-on experience implementing or operationalizing IFRS 17, including understanding of the General Measurement Model (GMM), Premium Allocation Approach (PAA), and disclosure requirements. Strong knowledge of Kuwait's insurance regulatory environment and reporting requirements is highly desirable. Experience with Oracle Fusion system is highly desirable.
