Gilbert Mechanical is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to design complex HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects in a collaborative design-build environment. The successful candidate will partner with project managers, field personnel, architects, and owners to develop innovative and cost-effective mechanical solutions from concept through construction.
 This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys technical design, problem-solving, and working closely with project teams to deliver exceptional customer results.
 Responsibilities
 <ul>
<li>Perform heating and cooling load calculations for commercial and industrial facilities.</li>
<li>Design and layout HVAC, process piping, and plumbing systems using AutoCAD and/or Revit.</li>
<li>Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and gather project information.</li>
<li>Coordinate system design with architectural, structural, electrical and other trades.</li>
<li>Participate in project meetings with customers, architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders.</li>
<li>Identify and resolve design conflicts and construction-related issues.</li>
<li>Support project teams throughout planning, design, and construction phases.</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and project partners.</li>
<li>Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards.</li>
</ul>
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
 <ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.</li>
<li>3+ years of experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and mechanical design principles.</li>
<li>Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
 <ul>
<li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.</li>
<li>Experience with design-build project delivery.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Navisworks, Sysque, and Trane Trace software.</li>
<li>Plumbing systems design experience.</li>
<li>Piping and/or sheet metal fabrication experience.</li>
<li>Cost estimating or preconstruction experience.</li>
</ul>
Base Salary: $75k-$95k. This role may be eligible for participation in discretionary bonus plan based on company and individual performance.

Hiring bonuses (and any guaranteed year-end bonuses) are administered under Company policy and are not earned until all stated conditions are met (e.g., active employment on the payment date).
