The Warehouse Head will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end warehouse and dispatch operations at a strategic level. This role is focused on process optimization, cost control, technology adoption, and overall efficiency enhancement, while ensuring that teams execute operations smoothly. The Warehouse Head will act as a key link between management and ground teams, driving continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with business goals.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Oversight<ul><li>Provide overall supervision of warehouse and dispatch functions.</li><li>Ensure processes and SOPs are being followed effectively across receiving, storage, order processing, and dispatch.</li><li>Review periodic operational reports and intervene where improvements are needed.</li></ul>2. Process Optimization &amp; Efficiency<ul><li>Identify gaps and bottlenecks in current warehouse and dispatch workflows.</li><li>Implement best practices, automation, and system-driven solutions (ERP/WMS improvements).</li><li>Optimize layout, manpower allocation, and dispatch planning for cost and time efficiency.</li></ul>3. Vendor &amp; Logistics Management<ul><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners and service providers.</li><li>Negotiate contracts, rates, and service terms to reduce logistics costs.</li><li>Evaluate partner performance and identify alternatives where needed.</li></ul>4. Inventory Control &amp; Audit<ul><li>Ensure accuracy of inventory by overseeing periodic cycle counts and audits.</li><li>Monitor stock reporting and reconciliation between physical and system inventory.</li><li>Establish strong controls to reduce pilferage, damages, and discrepancies.</li></ul>5. Team Leadership &amp; Governance<ul><li>Lead warehouse and dispatch managers/supervisors by setting clear expectations and KPIs.</li><li>Mentor and develop middle management to ensure smooth ground-level execution.</li><li>Establish a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.</li></ul>6. Compliance &amp; Risk Management<ul><li>Oversee compliance with GST, e-way bills, and statutory documentation.</li><li>Ensure safety standards, fire-fighting measures, and workplace hygiene are strictly followed.</li><li>Mitigate risks related to logistics delays, stock discrepancies, or manpower issues.</li></ul>7.
