The <b>Digital Marketing &amp; Content Specialist</b> supports the execution of digital marketing initiatives across multiple channels, including social media, website, email marketing, paid advertising, and membership recruitment campaigns. This role combines content creation with analytics and reporting responsibilities to help drive membership growth, program participation, volunteer engagement, and brand awareness. The position is responsible for monitoring campaign performance, supporting A/B testing efforts, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights to improve marketing effectiveness.</p><p>
The annual salary range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000, commensurate with experience.</p><p><b>
This is a hybrid role,</b> <b>NOT</b> <b>a fully remote position.</b> <b>The selected candidate must reside in North Carolina, specifically within our council&rsquo;s 41-county service footprint.</b></p><ul><li>
Schedule and publish content across all platforms, write engaging captions aligned with brand voice, monitor community comments/messages, and track performance trends.</li><li>
Develop graphics, flyers, digital ads, and marketing materials using brand templates; format content for multiple platforms and assist with photography/video coordination.</li><li>
Manage editorial calendars, write and publish blog content, and coordinate story collection across departments to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.</li><li>
Update landing pages and website content for accuracy, monitor user engagement analytics, and support SEO optimization efforts.</li><li>
Assist with launching and monitoring paid advertising campaigns across Google, Meta, and YouTube/OTT, while tracking campaign pacing, budget utilization, and cost-per-lead metrics.</li><li>
Run A/B testing on digital ads, email campaigns, and landing pages; analyze cross-channel performance to identify trends and conversion opportunities.</li><li>
Partner closely with the Membership team to track lead generation, monitor recruitment and renewal campaign metrics, and evaluate overall campaign effectiveness.</li><li>
Compile weekly and monthly performance dashboards and reports, providing actionable recommendations to improve campaign performance and return on ad spend (ROAS).</li><li>
Organize digital asset and photography libraries, support council-wide event promotions, and assist with strategic projects and administrative marketing tasks as needed.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Performs periodic internal control review of transactions, ensuring coding is correct.</p><p>Responsible for setting up new vendors and maintaining vendor files, including working with Property Director on ensuring W9s are updated, and contracts are accounted for. Responsible for creating and tracking DEI metrics with vendors, as available.</p><p>Responsible for accounting and reconciliation of PNC credit card statements and activity with card holders resulting in upload into General Ledger. Also, work with CFO in evaluating PNC credit card program periodically.</p><p>Responsible for the recording and reconciliation of the retail activity in OpSuite. This includes journal entries, working with retail team as needed. Reconciliation of GSUSA statements/invoices, working with CFO for payment. Work with Philanthropy to ensure all necessary documentation has been received to process pass thru&rsquo;s.</p><p>Responsible for updating GSOH&rsquo;s W9 yearly and relaying that information to vendors per policy.</p><p>Responsible for escheatment and 1099 process.</p><p>Responsible, working with Controller, in monitoring vendor relationships, and providing recommendations on how to improve.
