We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Contract Department Assistant to join our administrative team. This position plays a key role in supporting our subcontracting processes and ensuring compliance across all projects.Position SummaryThe Contracts Department Assistant will provide crucial administrative support to ensure smooth subcontracting operations. This includes managing documentation, processing payments, and collaborating with estimators and project managers. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Review, award, and initiate new subcontracts in collaboration with estimators and management.</li><li>Respond to subcontractor inquiries, particularly related to new project setup.</li><li>Input job extras in coordination with estimators.</li><li>Prepare and maintain compliance documents, including MSL and crashworthy letters, and certificates of insurance.</li><li>Complete and process partial lien waivers.</li><li>Allocate, apply, and enter payments into the internal tracking system.</li><li>Provide reception and front desk support as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications and Key Attributes: We're looking for someone who is:<ul><li>Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Persistent and proactive in following up on outstanding items.</li><li>Clear and professional in both written and verbal communication.</li><li>Dependable, trustworthy, and capable of handling confidential information.</li><li>Comfortable learning and navigating internal systems and software.</li><li>Friendly and professional in customer and team interactions.</li><li>Flexible and able to manage shifting priorities.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.</li><li>A self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.</li><li>Experience in traffic control contracts is a plus.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Parental leave</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Grandville, MI 49418 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Grandville, MI 49418: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
