Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and innovative professional to join our R&amp;D team for the formulation and development of new-age cosmetic products. The role involves conceptualizing, designing, and developing formulations in skincare, haircare, personal care, and other innovative categories aligned with global trends, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Research &amp; Formulation Development</li><li>Develop innovative, stable, and safe cosmetic formulations (skincare, haircare, baby care, natural/organic, dermo cosmetic, and premium segments).</li><li>Conduct literature reviews and trend analyses to identify new raw materials, actives, and technologies.</li><li>Optimize and reformulate existing products to improve performance, stability, or cost-effectiveness.</li><li>Product Development Lifecycle</li><li>Translate marketing briefs into technically feasible formulations.</li><li>Prepare prototypes and conduct Laboratory trials for new product concepts.</li><li>Ensure batch-to-batch consistency and scalability from lab to pilot to production.</li><li>Testing &amp; Compliance</li><li>Conduct stability studies, compatibility tests, and performance evaluations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Indian (BIS, FDA) and international regulatory requirements.</li><li>Maintain proper documentation of formulations, batch records, and technical data sheets.</li><li>Collaboration &amp; Cross-Functional Support</li><li>Work closely with Marketing, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, and Production teams for seamless product development.</li><li>Support technology transfer to the manufacturing floor, resolve scale-up challenges, and ensure GMP compliance.</li><li>Innovation &amp; Trends</li><li>Identify and incorporate new-age trends (clean beauty, natural/organic, ayurvedic, vegan, cruelty-free, sustainable packaging).</li><li>Evaluate novel ingredients, green chemistry, biotechnology-based actives, and advanced delivery systems.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>M.Sc. / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Cosmetics Science, Chemistry</li><li>3 - 8 years of hands-on experience in cosmetic product formulation and development (skincare, haircare, or personal care).</li><li>Strong knowledge of cosmetic raw materials, emulsions, surfactants, polymers, and actives.</li><li>Experience in laboratory techniques, formulation stability, and performance testing.</li><li>Familiarity with regulatory frameworks.</li></ul>Key Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Expertise in formulation chemistry and cosmetic product development.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Knowledge of trends and innovations in the global cosmetics industry.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.</li><li>Excellent documentation, reporting, and presentation skills.</li></ul>Career Growth &amp; Opportunity<ul><li>Exposure to end-to-end product development in a high-growth cosmetics manufacturing environment.</li><li>Opportunity to innovate and contribute to the launch of next-generation cosmetic products.</li><li>Work with global brands, third-party clients, and private-label product lines.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;37,581.74 - &#8377;90,539.83 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Leave encashment</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Ability to commute/relocate:<ul><li>Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Formulation &amp; Development of New Age Cosmetics: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>English (Preferred)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
