Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:<ul>
<li>
Performs Shop/Field Journeyman SMAW, GMAW, GTAW Welding &amp; Metal Fabrications. Ensures the work performed meets Project Regulations, Technical Manual &amp; Industry Standards.</li>
<li>Reads blueprints, sketches, and modification orders to plan the process and layout to be performed in an expeditious, economical, and effective manner.</li>
<li>Fabricates metal products per technical drawings or customer provided samples by welding/cutting/fabricating various metals.</li>
<li>Assists in coaching subordinate welders in ensuring all current Internal Operating Procedures (IOP) and quality regulations are complied with.</li>
<li>Responsible for the Welding Testing/Qualification process and test plate inspections for assigned Welding personnel and in ensuring that the current internal welding qualification program is maintained and up to date.</li>
<li>Utilizes Oxygen/Acetylene, Carbon Arc, Plasma cutting equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.</li>
<li>Responsible for observing all current OSHA, AFOSHA ES&amp;H and fire regulations</li>
</ul>
EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:<ul>

High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Must be AWS welding certified, or military equivalent</li>
<li>Five (5) years&rsquo; experience in Weld Shop.</li>
<li>A minimum of one (1) year of experience in welding inspection is required.</li>
<li>Must be a qualified journeyman</li>
<li>Experience with power tools, power saws, cranes, drills, etc.</li>

Lead and perform fabrication, installation, modification, and repair of sheet metal systems including ductwork, flashing, roofing components, vents, hoods, panels, and structural enclosures.</li>
<li>Serve as the technical lead for sheet metal and light structural work under the Structures section.</li>
<li>Assign tasks, provide technical guidance, and oversee work quality of assigned technicians or craftsmen.</li>
