 About the Role
 
 
 
 A highly experienced design lead with deep expertise in branding, visual design, and a strong creative vision. This role spans all of brand marketing, web, art direction, performance design, with a laser-sharp eye for motion design and video &ndash; perfect for someone who thrives on variety and pushes creative boundaries. You will play a strategic and technical role in refining our brand strategy as we become a leading player in the beauty and wellness industry. You will work cross-functionally to translate business objectives into creative strategies and generate ideas for new, innovative initiatives, performance campaigns, brand campaigns and programs for our growing customer base.
 
 
 You&rsquo;ll report to the Creative Director.&nbsp;You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters or San Francisco office and will operate in a hybrid environment. We default to being in-office 3-4 days per week with required attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
 
 
 
 What You&rsquo;ll Do
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead creative projects across brand marketing, web, performance, event design, art direction of photography and illustration, and video
 </li>
 <li>
 Create and evolve brand and visual identity systems that are scalable and impactful
 </li>
 <li>
 Translate concepts into high-quality visual assets for both digital and physical touchpoints
 </li>
 <li>
 Design with motion and video principles in mind
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams (brand marketing, performance marketing, product, events) to deliver cohesive, brand-aligned creative
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain pixel-perfect attention to detail while moving quickly
 </li>
 <li>
 Uplevel our brand with a strong understanding of our customer by combining aesthetics from the tech and the beauty/wellness worlds
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 What We&rsquo;re Looking For
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 7+ years of experience in branding and visual design, with a strong portfolio
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong cross-functional stakeholder communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Brand in-house and/or agency experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Expert in Figma and up to date on modern design tools, trends, and best practices
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of design systems and how to apply them across channels
 </li>
 <li>
 Exceptional eye for typography, color, layout, and overall visual craft
 </li>
 <li>
 Bonus: Proficiency in Jitter, After Effects or similar motion tools
 </li>

 The starting base salary for this role in New York and California is between $185,000 and $215,000 plus target equity + benefits. The base salary offered is dependent upon many factors including skills, experience, location, and education. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

 As a Software Engineer at GlossGenius, you'll play a critical role in shaping a platform that powers over 100,000 small businesses and processes more than $3 billion in payments annually. Engineers work on high-impact initiatives that support our rapid growth and evolving scale. Examples of your potential responsibilities include:

 Develop and define our microservice-based infrastructure.

 2+ years of professional experience in software development.
